For anyone trying to compete in events. Here’s my scores from this month.
I also have scores from last month, but they weren’t my final scores. I did manage to gain a couple thousand more and end up at 189k.

250 bombs, axes and regular mana and waaaaay more minor mana. The excessive use of minor mana is because I like to charge Wilbur before even making a move just in case a good cascade happens.
This event was insanely “cheap” for me on refills: about 15 flasks used and 20-25 refills bought with gems.

Perhaps its because of the short time between Wonderland leading into Grimforest? Nice scores btw! I finished 4th and basically could not bear looking at another board once I knew I was a lock for top 10.

Yeah, you really shouldn’t if top 10 is your goal. I wasn’t even planning to push but when I started rerunning some stages to get to a higher tier, I got some top notch boards

Hey Congrats @TheChef!! That’s helluva impressive run!!
I tend to play to complete and usually end up in the middle of the pack somewhere. I have neither the time nor the patience to replay levels unfortunately. Time is my most limiting factor.
Let’s us know how it goes with the next event. I’m wondering if this post will push some players to decide to challenge you? Might be a fun one next time

I’m glad you’re able to show us your scores and all, but these events are nothing but tired jokes. The these things are designed to be won is atrocious to say the least. I’m glad you’re able to capitalize on the current format, but I personally think it’s bull💩!

I spend no more than 20 dollars this weekend. I know it takes a lot of items to compete, but with some patience it’s definitely possible to win this as a c2p or maybe even f2p player.
All you have to do is save enough items and flasks and know the right strategy.

I’m just tryin to figure out how there’s not more chef puns in your threads and posts…(recipe for a #1 event score? Ingredients for victory? How to cook up a tasty score? I mean come on, they write themselves lol)
Nice scores man, competition is tough for sure. One day I’ll find the time but seems i always have work or somethin else goin on in event weekend, annoying as hell

… I am dying for a #1 finish for the guarenteed hero, but haven’t been confident to invest my WE flasks. (FTP so wasting them would give me a heart attack, although I do have the requisite items)
What # of combo+ are you looking for on your first move… and are you replaying to have a special chest available on first board? If you dont mind me asking.

I’d say at least a 6+ combo on the lower levels, because you need to do it in 1 move basically. And probably a 4 or 5 combo average on the later stages, although time is better there.
No, I’m not specifically farming for special chests. That’s because besides having a chest, you also need that perfect board. I did have a couple levels with a chest that gave me top score, but that’s pure luck.
Edit: @Richter, I’d like to think my last 2 streams contain some good information regarding event pushes if you’re looking for more intel.

Why is stage 9 such a big score, 90k and then the levels after it are lower scoring, 76k, 77k? Your scores were mostly pretty linear and that’s an odd discrepancy.
Because it has 3 Bosses.

No, I really like his tech. I think he pairs well in a 3/2 with 2 purple snipers.
