The Dark Lord fight was replaced with the Doomed Lord…
What happened to the faces for Lianna and Colen it looks like she was staring at the sun and Colen looked like he just grew out his beard.
Richard the Young lad looked like he was wearing Trainer Hero outfit minus the shield.
Is it me or do the default troops for everyone look like Halflings?
Looks like the Edd model was used here, but scrapped for the majority of the game until League of Villains came out.

Looks like he had a makeover and became Thorne. We still see him in S1 I believe but he never becomes a playable hero.

Looks like edd existed all the way back in 2016.
I actually prefer the modern designs, these designs look like every single e&p knock-off. Even the arch nemesis of e&p has a similar artstyle

Atomhawk studio started their actual art works in 2017
I guess in 2016 the game had different art studio
It was an early access opened for a short time cant even bind it with google play & gamecenter
The official release came in march 2017

Actually, the art studio that does Empires is Room 8 Studio. Atomhawk seems to be responsible for Puzzle Combat
