Could do with some opinions on the emblem path for Onyx. My instincts are telling me he needs health/defence, but what do others think?
I would go attack as priority.
My philosophy is to boost what a hero is good at. You’ll not be able to (effectively) prop up weaknesses with emblems. The boost is too minor. Better off accentuating their strength.
He’s an attacking hero so that is what I plan to maximise.
I did the attack way, since the first mana level is very fast I want her to be useful in that sense. I think her health and defense is
already good enough.

That’s attack route for me. You get a nice chunk of health at the end, too. Since Onyx is a wing on defense if you go that route, D is less of a concern. On attacking, he can kill 5 heroes at once with time and synergy.
He’s already at ninja speed so that 2% doesn’t make much of a difference except for Rush wars and tournaments

Trouble with ninjas is the number of tiles needed to get to lv3. That’s my concern
I’ve had Onyx since the first Ninja Tower so I’ve been using him a long time. I rarely need him to get to the 3rd charge in PvP raids and wars. He does enough damage at 2x or even 1x as a sniper. In fact, when there are empty lanes, I just ghost 3 tiles to charge him up to finish the remaining heroes. I guess it depends on what heroes you surround him with. Is he your main damage dealer/AOE?
It’s on the map and quest stages where I let him charge to 3x and just sweep the mobs/bosses.
