12-18-18/12-31-18: 50 chests opened, dark chest appears as chest 51. 13 days roughly between chests.

12-31-18/1-12-19: 40 chests opened, ice chest appears as chest 41. 13 days roughly.

1-12-19/1-24-19: 43 chests opened, holy chest appears as chest 44. 12 days roughly.

The three above entries were at a point of only working 3-4 chests a day. The entries that follow reflect an aggressive 4 chests or more a day approach to triggering these.

1-25-19/2-5-19: 49 chests opened, fire chest appears as chest 50. Roughly 12 days.

2-5-19/2-9-19: 16 chests opened, nature chest appears as chest 17. Roughly 4 days.

2-9-19/2-16-19: 28 chests opened, dark chest appears as chest 29. Roughly 7 days.

2-16-19/2-23-19: 27 chests opened, fire chest appears as chest 28. Roughly 7 days.

2-23-19/3-6-19: 49 chests opened, dark chest appears as chest number 50. Roughly 11 days.

3-6-19/3-18-19: 44 chests opened, nature chest appears as chest number 46 (raid chest reset first overnight). 12 days roughly.

3-18-19/3-23-19: 18 chests opened, fire chest appears as chest 21 in the monster position (Titan chest just opened and raid chest present). 5 days roughly. Much better pull this time.

3-23-19/4-4-19: 41 chest opened, Fire chest appears as chest 42 in the Titan position. 12 days roughly. Needed the blade, so ok with the rest being kinda meh.

4-4-19/4-17-19: 43 chests opened, ice chest appears as chest 44 in the raid position. 13 days roughly. Not great but not horrible; kinda short on compasses and hoarding gold coins, so it’s all good.

4-17-19/4-27-19: 35 chests opened, fire chest appears as chest 36 in the raid position. Roughly 10 days. In my mind, a sturdy shield, 50 gems, a Titan flask, and 50 sorcerer emblems are fine by me.

Got a purple elemental chest today. Loot was average. I was really hoping to get some trap tools to ascend sabina but maybe next time.

Pulled another fire chest today (15 days since last chest) and went with S2 3-4 and 3-8 (did a little at both). Much easier & faster than 20-4, thanks for the tip @_John_Doe! I forgot to compare the drops and resources, I did notice that 20-4 gave about 2,200xp whereas S2 3-8 was around 1,650 for the same WE cost. But 3-8 has 12 reds and 20-4 only has 11 (so 13 runs vs 14 runs to fill) and 3-8 was giving more recruits on average.

Hello all, long time lurker of this amazing thread. Im still collecting data and will post some at some point. Just wanted to comment on some post awhile pack suggesting a ‘window’ during which its possible for them to spawn. Im more and more thinking this might be true. Im in a family of alliances and the last couple of chests others start posting their loot like clock work. People started posting today and sure enough I skipped my monster chest and there was a holy chest.

I’m taking notes on every single chest loot since January 18th 2018. For those intersted: I had 74 elemental chests, so on average 1 chest/6,4 days. This frequency is only possible because I rush as many chests for as much gems as possible. (In this period I spent a total of 20657 gems just for rushing - on average 43,6 per day, but took it, lately rather around 50, because at the beginning I didn’t do this so seriously.)

The lowest number of regular chests in between elemetal ones was 15, the highest number 54, the average at 34,5. I didn’t hear of more extreme intervals in the forum yet.(from people who actually took notes of every chest, many people say “I had the last one ages ago” but then say its just their feeling…) To me it seems that elemental chests are randomly distributed within this range of opened chests, and it has nothing to do with time.

I got 22 4* Ascension items (=15%/roll or around 30%/chest), 18 hero tokens (8%/roll, 24%/chest), 28 troop tokens (12,6%/roll, 37%/chest) and since they are implemented 14,4 emblems/chest. (I think I’m unlucky in this area….)

Believe me, rushing chests is by far the most effective use for gems.

It is. I spend more on E&P than any mobile game should be spent on.

But on the other hand, I also received 15271 gems from free sources in the game within these 474 days of taking notes. You don’t have to rush chests as committed as I do, if you don’t want to spend Money on it. But even the free2play-ers should have enough gems to occasionally rush. And especially for them, it’s the best method to invest them. You shouldn’t only see the loot in the additional elemental chests, every single regular monster/hero chest has some chance to deliver good stuff which really matters in the long run.

Random, the faster you can fill other chests, the more chance you have to get it.

All, I know this is topic has been covered in various capacities but I am now tracking my chest completion to see if there is any rhyme or reason to the elemental chest frequency. I JUST completed my first cycle and wanted to post results. I am just starting the next cycle so I will likely only update one a week or so if the cycle holds true, but it could be less or more often if it does follow a truly random pattern/ A few assumptions: An elemental chest can occur on any of the 3 wanted …

I tend to get my elemental chests about every two weeks. I can do 2 monster and 1 raid chest a day. I am not as proactive as some here, because I have a real life and work which requires a cell-phone free zone. Patience is a blessing here, as is being aloof to dry spells where loot sucks and so do chest drops. If you want them faster, try using gems to speed up the timer, so they come faster. It will still be random, but you may be able to shave off a few days…or more depending on how the RNG shines upon you.
