This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the Updated Ascension Summon Portal.

Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Ascension Summon

Combos are the results and they consist of Ascension Materials, Emblems, Tomes, and Trainer Heroes
Master Emblem Combo is now added as a possible outcome.

The possible outcomes of pulling in the portal:

Rare Ascension Combo 1 Non Farmable Rare for a specific element - 1x 1* Trainer Hero from specific element -
Epic Embem Combo - 4x Emblems for 5 random classes

Legendary Ascension Combo 2x Epic for a specific element - 1x 3* Trainer Hero from the same element -
Super Emblem Combo - - 1x 4* Master Trainer Hero 1x Legendary Tome of Golden emblems
Super Ascension Combo - - 1x 4* Master Trainer Hero 1x Legendary Tome of Ascension
Master Emblem Combo - 2x 5* Master Emblems (5x from two different classes) 1x 3* Master Trainer hero -

Master Emblem combinations in Master Emblem Combo:

  • Barbarian + Cleric
  • Fighter + Druid
  • Paladin + Monk
  • Ranger + Rogue
  • Sorcerer + Wizard

Portal odds changes

  • Rare Ascension Combo: 50.0% 45.0%
  • Epic Embem Combo: 39.0% 34.0%
  • Legendary Ascension Combo: 10.0%
  • Super Emblem Combo: 0.5%
  • Super Ascension Combo: 0.5%
  • Master Emblem Combo: 10.0%

Summon Cost

  • 1x Pull: 10x Ascension Crystals
  • 10x Pull: 90x Ascension Crystals

Pulling with gems is not possible.

I got some from an elemental chest for the first time today. Unfortunately, they were druid, the one class where I don’t have a clear-cut legendary candidate for them.

Keep them. It’s better than not getting any.

Mine yielded an AA. Was hoping for ME.

Oh, definitely agree. I first thought they were enough to take Brienne to +25, and since I now have her toon costume maxed and I still use her for attack up on blue titans, it seemed like a good use. But the nodes for her are 3 MEs instead of 1, so I just held onto them, hoping maybe Viselus will impress me once I get him maxed. Failing that, I’ve still got Anouska and Marasankh as possible worthy candidates to be leveled at some point.

Was hoping this was done already for this current Ascention Portal that is currently running.

But alas.

Everyone, save your crystals until the improved portal opens with Master Emblems.

Hopefully it will be live the next time it comes around…

Oops, wish I read this before using the 10x that I was holding on to lol. Grabbed tonics and scopes though so I shouldn’t complain but I will anyway haha.

No mention of it in the v68 release notes. Might have to wait until v69.

No, the summon cost was unchanged in Beta.

The patch notes did not say this would be in v68 but then again the patch notices were pretty empty. It didn’t even mention the timesaver ViP change in the text (but it was quickly flashed in the TiK ToK video so idk)

Edit: I hope this change goes live in v68 as I have a boat load of ascention crystals that I have been saving and I think this change will make the portal more valuable. Though I still really really think they need to add Tome of Tactics and D-Blades in the possible options because otherwise you end up with unbalanced mats…typically needing more D-blade/Tomes because of this
