Second thought on herā¦ kinda merger between Chao (Ranger / Mana Cut) and Hu Tao (Blind / AOE)
Guin is Defensive OP as she launch, Neith seem design more to be Attack OP.
But why Ranger, please please my Lianna will emblem dry for life.

Yeah this one just screams for slow mana, especially given that sheās clearly superior in every single way to existing heroes who are also slow mana
Sheās kind of a joke as is, but Iām assuming this will be fixed at some point.
Neith looks interesting, Iām not sure I agree with assessments that she needs to be slow. If youāre using past HOTM as a baseline then yes she may be a touch OP in comparison but with the Challenge Event heroes about to enter the game sheās certainly not OP in comparison to them.
The one thing Iām less thrilled with is the blind being as I feel it is too similar to Drake Fong. A direction I would like to see is like a Holy take on Hel where it is a significant mana cut rather than a mana freeze.
Something like:
Deals 315% damage to target and minor damage to nearby enemies. Deals extra damage against Dark heroes.
Reduces Mana of target and nearby enemies by 50%
Iām guessing what degree of mana cut is equivalent to a 3 turn mana freeze, other values may be more appropriate. Or perhaps a mana degeneration over time effect like 3 enemies lose 15% mana each turn for 3 turns if an instant big mana cut to three enemies is too dramatic.
Kind of only really suggesting the changes as would like the hero to be a little more different/original than a mash-up of Justice and Li Xiu.
I want to get attached to this hero. She is going to be a total bad a** ā¦
I say slow mana because thats kind of the precedent for heroes that wreck an entire defense like she will, like Azlar and Isarnia.
A better nerf would probably be just making her hit-3 instead of hit-5, but sheād still be crazy powerful even with that.
I know many people wonāt like this but after 2 years of power creep those two heroes are no longer the benchmark to be basing new HOTMās off.
The new challenge event heroes coming into the game both stats-wise and in their specials are a significant step up on both Atlantis 5* and many recent HOTMs. With such a step up newer HOTMs are also going to need to be compared via the higher benchmark those new heroes are pushing towards for them to be relevant enough for people to want to pull for.
Just take a look at Anzogh, he had an average speed 215% AoE with heal. Had he been introduced in the very first batch of HOTMs he would have seemed OP in comparison to a number of slower classic heroes however now at this point in the game the forum has a dedicated thread of complaints about him.
By the time this hero is released not only will a few events worth of the new heroes entered the game but we will likely also have had the costumes enter the game that will probably see buffs to the damage done in both the specials of Azlar and Isarnia alongside a 5% buff to their stat lines making their hits harder. All of which suggests using the Azlar-Isarnia benchmark will definitely be outdated by the time she should hot the game.
Unfortunately the shift from rebalancing old heroes to giving them costumes you have to pull for to get your rebalance is part of a concerning wider shift in the game to become more punishing for F2P and C2P players. Iāve been quite critical of this shift and I have gone from being a bit of a ākiller whaleā (some way of saying between dolphin and whale on the spending scale) to cutting back significantly due to those concerns. (The fear being that this trend may result in a ājumping the shark,ā moment for the game in which a lot of F2P and C2P players leave which in turn results in the playerbase falling below critical mass and what point is there trying for a hero if the game might collapse in a couple months - my suspicion is that it will probably hinge on what the Hero Academy turns out like, my suspicion is a number of players have been waiting to see how it and the Alchemy Lab would turn out like and if the Academy is as disappointing as the Lab looks like it will be it is likely to be a major decision time for many players.
But the concerns of the previous paragraph aside and assuming disaster doesnāt strike the game and continues on well the fact remains Neith will have stiff competition from other heroes (both new and possibly from costumed classics) that will prove the benchmark for people to decide if sheās relevant or not.
New event heroes are constantly changing and we donāt know how will they look like in the final version. There are also some really good old heroes like Guin, Hel or GM, maybe not thanks to their stats but to special skills. And new event 5* heroes will be really rare. If they keep 1% for event 5* and keep old 5* event heroes then chance for new event 5* will be 0.5% and really few players will pull them.
But the truth is that obsoletion of old heroes is inevitable. Spending players must have motivation to keep spending. Itās just happening a bit too quickly IMO. Anzogh was hotm 4 months ago and now Grazul makes him pretty much useless.
Rigs and Aeron against her.
Just donāt bring snipers, attack passively with reposte, cleanse, mana boost, mana block and ailment resistance.
Neith sounds good, but not unbeatable. Justice will retire on a correlian beachā¦
Anzogh was useless since his release in my opinion. I sacrificed him 3 seconds later after I got him. If I use items on 5*, I use on fast and very fast heroes, like GM and Marjana. Or heroes so good as Ares. Fortunately, I have these red heroes
I donāt see how this is different from Ariel being average where Kunchen and Vivica are slow. Both those heroes are still being used. As are Domitia and Thoth despite the existence of Seshat.
Absolutely it is happening too fast. The jump in stats between the Atlantis heroes with the best stats and the worst of the new CE heroes represents a power creep the equivalent of 2 years of power creep in HOTM. I was pretty alarmed that caution seemed to be thrown to the wind on that and what seemed like a very deliberate statement of intent on the part of SG. Whatever tinkering that has been done so far has not really affect any of their stat lines much if at all which is what leads me to believe such a power jump is totally deliberate.
The logical implications of dramatically increasing the rate of power creep such as obsoleting heroes quicker I believed would concern more than it really did. But then again I wonder whether weāre not becoming frogs on slowing heating hot plates. SG can make ever so slightly detrimental changes that is not enough to outrage us enough to leave from any one change but had we been introduced to them all instantly at the same time we would have like the frog jumped off said plateā¦
But thereās really no use case for Vivica over Ariel (other than simply color) and thereās no use case for Domitia or Thoth over Seshat. Anyone whoās still using those heroes just doesnāt own the better (rarer) alternatives.
It amazes me how the SG team still can find new specials for heroes, or different combinations of known specials. One day there wonāt be any left. I would not be surprised if one day we get a Hotm, the Barman, who makes heroes drunk for 4 turns. Or The Cutie, who looks so cuddly for 3 turns nobody has the heart to hit him
And the drunk heroes to hit themselves for 4 turns, right?
Iām exactly planning to do this if even after the Hero Academy and the Skins we wouldnāt have any resemblance of a meaningful balance patch.
A heroine with complete holy hero kit. She looks excellent to me. I agree with those who said that classic heroes and even past HOTMs are no reference to the new ones. There is clearly a boom in the abilities of the new heroes. And this is not harmful to the game. Who will invest in a new hero if the old ones do better than him? Throws should be appealing to players and add a new level of difficulty. Either way, classic heroes will receive costumes to upgrade them, which should bring some balance.
Poor Justice just hangs her head and thinks, āthat should have been meāā¦
Sheās hiding in the corner of my roster crying from embarrassment. Maybe one day she will reach her final ascension. But something more attractive keeps showing upā¦
Cāmon, Justice always was one of the worst heroes in the game. Enough to have Rigard among the purples in case would activate somehowā¦ I had 3 or 4 of them, but never crossed my mind to level up such a hero. OK, I would understand a player who doesnāt have any other option, but even so. If I would be such a player, I would save the darts for the future. Joon for example, even for free. Even Vivica. But not Justice. The easiest fights since I am in the game, were with Justice tank. A joke. At least for me. Not worth being sorry for Justice
This is always the same old storyā¦
Old heroes does A, B and C, new heroes does ABC.
Why canāt a new hero do D and let A, B and C to the old ones or to do D and a very little A, B or C?
No.
Higher damage, faster special, better effects.
I really hope that the ābalanceā will not come under RNG element as the skins effectively were: single RNG heroesā balance patches.
