đŸ§Ș Early information on the new PvP event - Hero League [Part of The Beta Beat V60]

People keep talking about lousy loot but this is placeholder loot so its going to change right? Or does it not change much for things like this after bet?

Another event from Zynga to drive deeper player engagement and increase revenue:

  1. Raid flasks will increase in value. There should be more offers including this item.

I can already see the event offers for this Raid League: 28 daily offers, in 2 tiers akin to Tower offers. Tier 2 should have that much needed Raid Flask for 50 gems, 1 offer daily.

Tier 1 will offer coins/gems relating to whichever portal(s) is/are open on that day. Hence the absence of a dedicated portal for this event.

It will be like having Seasonal Offers all year round.

Or that Pick a Hero portal may be assigned to this event, featuring OP heroes from featured classes, featured heroes changing weekly. See Point 2.

  1. Active competitive players may summon more to plug the gaps in their roster, deepening their roster to boost survival to week 4. And hopefully place well enough for better loot.

  2. Increased summons generally leads to increased spend in related areas: Feeders, Ham, 4AM, Emblems, Aethers

Another brilliant strategy from Zynga. :tada::tada::tada:

Event emoji reward is a great idea.

Those who survive to Week 4 and place in top 10000 should get an emoji but then I fear for your workload sticking 10000 emoji to 10000 accounts (assuming they all have forum accounts)

I suggest emoji for 80 straight wins.

My suggestion for emoji : :man_singer:t2: (Star for rocking 80 straight wins) or :trophy: (a simple trophy) or :mountain: (having ascended to the peak)

Sniff,sniff, sniff

. Interesting thread. This old dog seems to think this is a trail worth exploring :+1: many interesting ideas and opinions

need coffffeee  much to read in more detail, seems to me???

:v:

 You should have proposed this before you seem to be winning the first round in Beta

Ps: As I see with Defense score added after Round 1 we are now far from top 1

Not just the time commitment but also the raid flags.

Unless you don’t sleep, you’re going to need raid flasks to manage 20 attacks in a day due to the 1 hour respawn on flags.

That is if you don’t use flags on normal raids.

Do these raids count towards your raid chest? If not you’ll need flags for that too and you’ll also need to do normal raids to try and maintain diamond ranking.

Still a great deal of refinement is needed I think but the idea interesting  and potentially fun. But further discussion is needed to see if the flaws outweigh the positives.

You clearly see some flaws, what are they? And what would you change to improve? The purpose of beta is to see if enough flaws can be removed from a rough concept for a feature to be developed into a functional part of the game. Identifying what the issue are is benefit to the discussion if you would like to add yours :+1:

Whoa! You have to use 20 normal raid flags to keep competitive in this?

I can imagine the super enthusiastic whales that have the necessity to solve everything immediately.
6 raids → 1 flask → 6 raids → 1 flask → 6 raids → 1 flask → 2 raids

And also a standard person that sleeps 7 hours and works 8 hours, but treats E&P as a “second job”.

00:00 → 07:00 sleep
07:00 playing 6 raids
08:00 playing 1 raid
08:00 → 16:00 work
16:00 playing 6 raids
22:00 playing 6 raids
23:00 playing the final raid

And that without considering other E&P activities.

I agree there needs to be a level playing field if they want game wide player participation when it comes to amount that can be played. being able to use flasks is a out of the question allowance in providing a unfair advantage to players willing to use them. I was never happy with the gem buy back in for raid tournaments either but I think you can only buy in once?? don’t know never tried but it is a advantage that shouldn’t exist is the purpose is competition between players, no one gets the ability to rerun the track if their time running it wasn’t fast enough in the Olympics cause the pay a few bucks.

I’ll give it a try
20 characters of something new

You can buy back in more than once. Standard 75 gems per buy back.

20 attacks a day. Let’s expand our raid energy from 6/6 to 20/20 :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Each raid we are now given 10 minutes, let’s make the raid in this league from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. Speed tournament, similar to speed chess.

What if they just added 2x and 3x speed options so we don’t have to spend so much idle time?

If they sped up PvP, they’d have no excuse for not speeding up PvM. But then their loot ticket and item sales would drop a tiny bit and they can’t afford such monetary losses. Please understand.

That’s very funny or to me anyway cause it seems like a joke. Unless you mean that literally then it makes no sense whatsoever but I guess that’s still kinda funny to me cause jokes don’t have to make sense

:v:

It was sarcastic, of course. Quality of life changes don’t bring new people or give existing players a reason direct reason to spend more. Even worse, the bad cualities can be lessened by heavy item usage, which whales actually buy.

Not a bad idea with the options given.
Myself just wanting the tournament having a fixed rules and limit the time in a raid. We are now given 10mins in all raids , hence now 20 raids in this tournament that’s too much. Limit the time of raid is a suggestion but increase the raid energy is a proposal wanting SG to implement it for the benefits of all players.

I was just giving an example of why it will be tough. I suppose if it’s bottom 25% each week it will be lower level players and many F2P.
