I have already said from a long time ago that costume is power creep:

Costume chamber is not balancing fix.

It is paywall and just another power creep.

Stop all this powercreep. If S2 get costume, soon S3 and S4 will and the power will be 100 above regular S1.

Event, Seasonal, new HotM, S2, S3, S4 have family bonus, link, resistance, or any other bonus already. Let costume bonus be exclusive to S1.

If they implemented this dumb idea, I won’t be surprised if they make a 2nd or even 3rd costume for S1 heroes with stacked bonuses:

They said costume bonuses stack. If there are 3 different costumes for Lianna, it could result in Lianna with 875 power, 975 with emblem. +15% attack +15% defense +30% HP +15% mana regen. That would be insane.
