šŸ§Ŗ Early Information on ROUND 1 of Season 4 Heroes [Part of The Beta Beat v36]

Yes, we are telling them but i donā€™t know if it would be of any help.
For sure I know that on S2 release they changed Wilbur from being a 4* spirit link Brienne.

I canā€™t believe everyone got caught up in the heroā€™s stats and not the theme. Empires goes to the library? What a fantastically unexpected idea to dump us all in the SciFi section.

but SG dont make money from old heroes
if they release new heroes who are just little stronger, players wont need to summon them, just keep rolling with their current roster if they already have s2/s3 heroes

now with s4 these heroes rock !!!
6* heroes here we go, summon again, its at leat 1000$ per players to get em all if you are lucky enough
you aint spending 1000$ if they arent op, now there is a good reason to summon

Wait for just 3 star or 4 star, I have no luck for seasons other than season one

What if they would start making money with innovative special skills like Lepiota instead of improved ones as Dr. Moreau?

There is a specific thread for the theme.

Or a lot of people will just get up and quit considering theyā€™re trying to make people spend a stupid amount of cash to be somewhat relevant

Agreed. I feel like a lot of people donā€™t understand businesses need to keep their clients happy. It seems like people think that a business can do anything they want for the sake of money without carefully analyzing consequences.

For an exaggerated example, if Taco Bell suddenly adds $10 onto every single one of their items without any changes to our economy, with the way some people in this forum act, itā€™s as if that means Taco Bell just had a big brain move and multiplied all profits by 10. Why not go further and make it the $100 value menu? Multiply their profits by 100?! Obviously that doesnā€™t happen because the people would just stop paying for the service.

Constantly creating new heroes stronger and stronger than each previous generation doesnā€™t equal insurmountable profits. It will quite likely lead to an angry player base and will lose a lot of business. They would have to be very confident that they can reach their goals solely on whales who will pay regardless and new players who have no idea of the power creep.

The best way for SG to hear our complaints is with our wallets, or lack there of using our wallets. The more people stop paying SG for terrible odds, power creep, unnecessary and ill thought out ā€œimprovementsā€, etc. the more they may actually try to listen to their player base and balance this game out

All those concerns! These new super heroes will be easily countered by S2 and event hero costumes, which will likely be released around the same time, and brand new purchasable costume accessories for S1. Just my guess.

FYI you can. Use and tags.

On topic, not much new I can say that hasnā€™t already been said about why these new S4 heroes in their current form are disproportionally strong, stats wise at the very least. Slow power creep (ā€œcreepā€ by definition should be slow, shouldnā€™t it?) is ok in my book, but this is absolutely way past that. I donā€™t think we shouldā€™ve even touched 800 power till maybe a year from now, if that.

Iā€™ve mentioned before, SG isnā€™t perfect but I think in general they have been successful in finding the fine line of maintaining balance in various ways, probably in more ways people realize. And this doesnā€™t seem like a very easy task to me. Up to now, F2P and C2P and beyond have still been able to exist and even compete on the same playing field, though it is certainly true F2P has to work harder and/or much longer in general, and will still have to live with the fact itā€™ll be impossible to obtain more than a small minority of non-classic 5*, maybe even 4*. But it has been possible to co-exist on the same playing field, for years. I have alliance mates in that category who are regularly at or near the top rankings in war, trophy count and Titan damage. Which I think is a feat that deserving of acknowledgement.

With the prospect of heroes at 825+ power, equivalent to classic 5* with +13 or +14 emblems as has been pointed out, for the first time ever I have the sinking feeling that this will end, that F2P and at the very least C2P on the lower end of the spectrum will be in a different class from bigger spenders who can get a meaningful number of the new higher powered heroes.

Iā€™m looking at my own spending pattern, which started as completely F2P, then for over a year was very C2P averaging less than US$10 a month, and for the last year or so has gone up from there to something like US$25 - 75 per month (depending on the month) motivated by the realization I wouldnā€™t meaningfully get stronger if I didnā€™t get more than the occasional non-classic 5*. And while this is considerably more money than I wouldā€™ve ever imagined Iā€™d spend on any game, let alone a mobile game, Iā€™m not sorry, and while like everyone thereā€™s always more to wish for (a lot, really), Iā€™m happy with where my account is now, and the enjoyment Iā€™m still getting out of it.

But suddenly Iā€™m questioning it all, whether any money spent will be worth it, with the prospect of heroes and the investment going into them being devalued faster by the next ones around the corner, than I am willing to throw money at getting those new ones. Questioning what will happen to the game and a big part of the player base - will many others feel the same, and maybe play a lot less or even stop? And I want to be really clear this isnā€™t a case of not wanting to spend out of protest because I donā€™t like what SG might be doing, itā€™s just really that suddenly there is the prospect of there being a point I may not want to continue playing. I have never ever had that thought before until now, through all the changes and hero buffs and nerfs.

Which is all a very elaborate way to say, I really hope these guys will get nerfed before release. Thatā€™s the hope Iā€™m going to hang on to, this is just beta and all subject to change. I have hope SG will listen to the player base, and beta feedback.

SG should beware about power creep, slow or not, because there is such thing that is called:

Straw that broke the camelā€™s back

Iā€™ll say this. Iā€™m much less interested in spending money or gems right now with these on the horizon.

Why should I bother when ANY hero pulled right now will be significantly outclassed when S4 drops?

That whole post is wonderfully accurate. Well done.

of course now with these s4 heroes everyone should wait and not spend money anymore
but in fact when the portal is there players will spend, no matter what they say, no matter how angry they are, not matter all the #nospend or quit they claim
thats only ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– , they will still spend their money on portals and every offers available, this is like an addiction to drugg or alcohol

after the halloween gate many of my matessaid they will quit and not pay the gems
in the end only 1 really stopped playing, the other 23 who used the glitch they all paid the required gems from 10k up to 43k

if SG goes in this direction its coz they are supported by players, everything we can read are just hypocrisy, its like no one admits masturbating and watching porn but everyone does it in fact

i dont like this, but if I were dvpers for SG i would even increase this power creep, release a new set of heroes every 6 months making the previous ones obsolete
New players would be able to compete with long term players
old players with have to renew their roster to be competitive
and of course they will have to buy more mats to max them

opinions isnt important, the only thing that matter is the cash flow they make
its better to have players insulting them but earning billions than players praising them but without money

I think that this is the result of premises which date back to a year ago or more. Since from the release of Season 3 heroes it was clear that even long-term F2P cannot compete anymore, simply because the new heroes are way way way stronger than S1 heroes, which are the only one a F2P can ā€œeasilyā€ obtain (even though after 2 years I still do not have Marjana and Sartana). Even the hero academy is not a solution because it should give on average only 2-3 non-S1 heroes per yearā€¦

I sadly decided 3 months ago to strongly reduce my playing activity and I completely stopped raiding, because it is too difficult to compete with big spenders having a whole team of Ninja or S3 heroes.

Of course, being a F2P, I am aware that SG will not cry if I completely quit the game

Incredibly well worded and it sounds like we are in the same scenario for everything you said (also from ftp to $10 to $25-75, but Iā€™m back to ftp now). I think with all these new heroes, Iā€™m about to call it for good sooner than later. I donā€™t have any reason to spend money any more (which i guess Iā€™m thankful for as it will save me money haha)

The power creep is real. These are some insane legendaries. Lepiota, phileas and lidenbrock are too good.

You gotta love the SG fanboys who will defend this game at all cost lol. Everyone completely agrees these heroes (in this current form) are ridiculously OP, and then you have that 1 person who thinks they arent that bad, because they are only a slight/moderately better version of the VERY BEST heroes in the game currently lol
