🧪 Early Information on Round 2 of Ninja Tower Heroes [Part of The Beta Beat v43]

This thread is to provide early insights and discussion on the initial release of the additional Ninja Tower heroes.


Don’t get too attached

Details from Beta, especially brand-new Beta content, don’t tend to be very reliable for actual release.

It’s incredibly common that features are changed during Beta testing, or sometimes even after testing but before release. That is, after all, the purpose of Beta testing.

So I wouldn’t get too attached to any of this — it’s not unheard of for entire portions of features to be removed or reworked, or for radical changes to functionality to be made.

Mana Speed

The mana speed is the same as we used to.
I will not ellaborate that further.

*There are a total of ten (3) new heroes added to Beta for testing; these have been indicated to be for a Ninja Tower event.

*The names of the new heroes are: Ruby, Quartz, Zircon

:hugs: Family Bonus (same as the existing)

Ninja Heroes have a family bonus for unique heroes of the same family.

Ninja Family
Bonus for 2 / 3 Heroes:

  • 5% / 10% chance to dodge normal attacks and Special Skills
  • 5% / 10% chance to counterattack with 60% / 90%< of the damage recieved

The two effects have individual sequential procecing. So one may not trigger while the other might.

Special Skill: Crimson Calamity

  • Special Skill has a different effect when charged with 100% / 200% / 300% mana:

  • 1x Mana Charge:

    • Deals 290% damage to the target.
    • Reduces the mana of the target by 25%.
    • The target gets -14% mana generation for 2 turns.
  • 2x Mana Charge:

    • Deals 330% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
    • Reduces the mana of the target and nearby enemies by 50%.
    • The target and nearby enemies gets -24% mana generation for 3 turns.
  • 3x Mana Charge:

    • Deals 370% damage to all enemies.
    • Reduces the mana of all enemies by 100%.
    • All enemies get -34% mana generation for 4 turns.

  • Special Skill has a different effect when charged with 100% / 200% / 300% mana:

  • 1x Mana Charge:

    • All allies regenerates 164 HP over 2 turns.
    • All allies get +34% attack for 2 turns.
    • Cleanses status ailments from all allies.
  • 2x Mana Charge:

    • All allies regenerates 564 HP over 3 turns.
    • All allies get +44% attack for 3 turns.
    • Cleanses status ailments from all allies.
  • 3x Mana Charge:

    • All allies regenerates 860 HP over 4 turns. This effect can’t be dispelled.
    • All allies get +54% attack for 4 turns.
    • Cleanses status ailments from all allies.

  • Special Skill has a different effect when charged with 100% / 200% / 300% mana:

  • 1x Mana Charge:

    • The caster’s health All allies’ health is boosted by 300 144 HP over 2 turns.
    • The caster All allies get +34% +24% defense, and a further 5% increase every time they are hit during 2 turns.
    • The caster is All allies are immune to buff dispells for 2 turns.
  • 2x Mana Charge:

    • The caster and nearby All allies’ health is boosted by 615 504 HP HP over 3 turns.
    • The caster and nearby All allies get +44% +34% defense, and a further 5% increase every time they are hit during 3 turns.
    • The caster and nearby All allies are immune to buff dispells for 3 turns.
  • 3x Mana Charge:

    • All allies’ health is boosted by 980 HP over 4 turns.
    • All allies get +54% defense, and a further 5% increase every time they are hit during 4 turns.
    • All allies are immune to buff dispells for 4 turns.

  • Oct 25, 2021 – Balance changes for Zircon.
  • Frist two charges are affect all allies with reduced HP recovered and less defense increase.
  • Oct 14, 2021 – added for first look testing.

No new 3 or 4 stars ughhhh

Ruby seems like another Cobalt/Onyx, which is to say very good.
Quart looks like a 5 star costume rigard. If they changed shale to do half of these numbers, I’d actually level Shale.
Zircon: Perhaps a tank? I don’t love healers like this (aka like Shale). I’d rarely use that one charge since it only affects one. 2x charge impacts 3, which I don’t love. My least favorite of the three, but not too overpowered.

Why do we get more red/blue/dark heroes here? We already had the event dominated by blue/red/dark bosses. Now we get one more of each?

maybe that needing more of the same ascension material creates a drive to spend more

yay more 5*s!

probably the only thing I’m happy about? is that the family bonus ends with 3 heroes, and doesn’t scale up when having 4 or 5.

Ruby looks a bit too strong, other 2 are pretty well balanced IMO

But tbh I’m surprised that they don’t have Ludwig’s type abilities.
