Is it a dragon flying around behind the castle or a wyvern? Need help settling a debate within our alliance.
Just count the number of legs while it flies. If it has four legs, it’s a dragon. If it has two, it’s a wyvern.
The Research Department of Misfit Toys clambered to the highest towers to snap the following proof shots:
There is an internal debate whether the “legs” to the rear are in fact legs or actually the wing on the far side.
Dragons have 4 legs, Wyverns have 2 (and are smaller). This creature looks fairly large, image-captured at quite a distance, so I’m leaning “Dragon”.
We know what differences to look for. The silhouette gives very little details but is more indicative of wyvern. However, illustrations of other creatures like the VIP dragon have 4 legs and it’s implied they all have similar origins, suggesting dragon.
The battle of wits had begun…
@Rook please thank your (un/highly) paid interns for their tireless pursuit of knowledge. I’m arguing dragons so I’ll take whatever I can get to support it.
Actually, the first image proves it’s a Wyvern, not a dragon.
Take a look at these examples below:
These are Wyverns
Whereas these below are dragons:
You see, when dragons fly and raise their wings, you can see their “arms” hanging below, whereas when Wyverns fly, you can only see their legs, because their arms are inserted in the wings.
Therefore, your images prove the “dragon” that flies in Empires and Puzzles is, in fact a Wyvern. And since Wyverns are generally dumber and weaker than dragons, that makes sense why we have a real dragon (four appendages) protecting our VIP gems.
EDIT: Actually, @Rook, Wushu can say whatever he wants. He’s a Wyrm.
I insist Dragon because I like the way Mushu says it.
Seriously, some of the websites I came across argued historically dragons are earthbound and wyverns are airborne. (I was raised with stories of flying dragons, so this argument seemed silly.) Anywhoo, i’d much prefer a closer photograph!
You know you’ve been playing E&P too much…
When you read this topic and immediately jump back to the game to get your own “Bigfoot” screenshots…
I gotta say. I feel wyvern is correct. No front legs that I can find unless it flys with them tucked up like T-Rex arms.
Wyvern. Here’s an image with higher definition, you can see that the chest is straight, there’s no place for something tucked below the wings.
With my tinfoil hat firmly in place, I subscribe to the T-Rex arms theory.
(Wyvern, Wyvern, Wyvern!)
Isn’t a Wyvern also a Dragon but not intellegent and hence more an animal? Who really cares?
I just know you can shot him from sky when clicking on him many times
Maybe somebody shall send the Body to a laboratory? Then we know… Hi hi hi
what tf is a Kirin!? I never heard of this xD
Mainly eastern mythology, also known as Qilin.
Seen in some games, for example Guild wars and Monster hunter.
You can google it
So despite clear evidence of dragons elsewhere in the game, the consensus seems to be wyvern making this a very robust ecosystem. I guess it makes sense in a world that needs to breed ever increasingly tough titans.
cough Dragon cough
(Yes, yes I know Wyvern is all but proved, but do we see a Wyvern anywhere else in the game? Just sayin…)
Are you ignoring sound scientific evidence?
What’s next? The earth is flat?
