Dear Community,
How have you been enjoying Dragon Dawn? We’re incredibly happy to share that with the launch of the Dragonspire, we’re seeing by far the highest average daily playtime recorded in the past several years! It’s been rewarding and relieving to see our first-ever “expansion” get off to such a great start, and we can’t wait to unveil the rest of the cool stuff we still have in store.
That being said, we’ve also identified a number of pain points that players were experiencing while starting their Dragon Adventure. We want to ensure that as many players as possible can enjoy all that the Dragonspire has to offer, and we are taking some immediate actions to better your journey. Here are some of the changes we’ve prepared:
Early levels are too hard!
Our design intent in balancing the early map levels was to provide players with enough of a challenge from the get-go, but we quickly realized that this might not have been the right call — it can be a bit frustrating when you can’t progress quickly through even the very first area of a new story campaign, and honestly, a level 1 Krio and 4 Trainer Dragons can only get you so far. We’ve decided to address this right away by sending off extra gift packages full of Silver Coins.
- We sent you a gift of 200 Silver Coins yesterday
- We sent you another 100 Silver Coins today
- We’ll be sending an additional 200 Silver Coins over the weekend
- …and of course, all of these gift packages will also contain some other useful items!
All these Silver Coins should net you enough Rare-or-above Dragons to fill out a whole team — harness their power, and you should be sailing through the early stages in no time.
Raids match me against teams way out of my league!
We are now putting a fix live that will drastically reduce the chances of this happening. We will also be significantly lowering the Fish cost for rerolling opponents at lower Dragonspire levels, so that you can easily opt out of battles against teams that look too tough for your budding fleet.
If this issue has been blocking your progress through the story map or the Welcome to Dragonspire path, please head back to the Dragonspire today and check if you’re now able to continue your adventure!
I need more Common Feathers!
The best way to level up your new Dragons is by training Common and Uncommon Trainer Dragons at the Hatchery — and this requires Common Feathers. However, the drop rate for Common Feathers in regular gameplay was a bit too low compared to the drop rate for colored Feathers. We are now adjusting these values so that players will get more Common Feathers. This change should help you strengthen your new Dragons faster!
That’s all for today! As always, we’ll continue to keep a close eye on how things develop in the live game, and make further adjustments if needed.
Please make sure to collect all those Silver Coins from your inbox — and the very best of luck in your first week of Dragon Battles!
