Defense help and ascension choices

Hi everyone, got some choices to make on ascension that can also change my defense formation.

Right now my defense is:

Mitsuko 2.60 - Boril 3.60 - Kunchen 2.60 - Wu Kong 4.52 - Hansel 4.60

I always feed the same color heroes as i result i’m working on 5 heroes at a time. Currently these ones:
Green: Hansel to max
Yellow: Wu Kong to max
Blue: Kiril to at least 3.60 (now at 2.45)
Purple: Gill-ra to max (now at 3.30)
Red: Azar to max (now at 3.41)

My mats right now are:
General

  • 1 damascus blade
  • 2 compass
  • 1 gloves

Yellow

  • 3 darts
  • 5 orbs

Purple

  • 2 tabards
  • 3 trap tool

Green
Nothing

Blue

  • 3 warm cape

Red

  • 3 hidden blade

The ascension choices are:

Green: Kashhrek 3.60, Melendor 1.1, I intend to work on Melendor right after finishing Hansel and take him to 3.60 waiting for mats

Blue: Sonya 3.60, Boril 3.60, actually working on Kiril; I don’t know who to choose for max, need to max the more all-aroud, suggestions?

Yellow: Li Xiu 3.60, Joon 1.1, Jackal 1.1, actually finishing Wu Kong. After finishing Wu I don’t know if take Joon to 3.70 or Jackal to max?

Purple: Kunchen 2.60, Tiburtus 3.60, Obakan 1.40. After finishing Gill-ra waiting for the last trap tool, the ascension battle is between Kuncken 3.70 or Tiburtus till max. suggestions?

Red: Mitsuko 2.60, Gormek 3.60, Colen 3.13. As soon as i finshi Azar i’ll take Colen to 3.60, but then the decision in my mind will be Mitsuko to 3.70 or Gormek to max?

These ascension decision will greatly impact my defense team too. Is smarter to ascend the best choices for defense or the most all-around heroes.

Luckily the 5 stars you have are those with special skills that can work well at any level – Mitsuko’s blue reflect barrier, and Kunchen’s support heal.

Green: Melendor imo. Kash is good only on defense.
Blue: I’d choose Kiril myself, the health recovery is a small bonus, the real benefit of his skill are the boosts
Yellow: Definitely finish Wu Kong first. Jackal would be a good choice afterwards
Purple: I’d bring Tiburtus to max, and wait to get the 6 tabards for Kunchen
Red: I’d also just max Gormek first instead of working on Colen. You can never have too many Ramming Pulverizer heroes. And wait for the 6 rings for Mitsuko

If I understand correctly first step you suggest is to take the 5 stars, Kunchen and Mitsuko to 3.70 amd then follow the others in the order you said?

No, I’d keep them at 2.60 until you get all the 6 epic ascension mats.

Use your rare ascension mats for your 4 stars instead. You’ll get faster results that way, which in turn help you get these mats more frequently.

All right understand. That was my intention too, first a maxed rainbow 4* team.

The only thing stopping me was what to do with defense after that. Say i got max Tiburtus and max Gormek. Would you swap this two with Kunchen and Mitsuko 2.60 that are in the defense lineup right now?

Yeah, generally max 4 stars would be better to have in a defense team than half-finished 5 stars or even 5 stars at 3.70. At 2.60 they won’t be much good, unless your plan is to stay closer to top of Gold tier and sneak into platinum… not a bad one tbh.

Once you’ve got some of the heroes I suggested maxed, I’d recommend trying:

G. Jackal | Tiburtus | Kiril | Gormek | Hansel

Usually I try recommending fast heroes on the corners, because the average or slower ones are less likely to fire there.

This will be a temporary team until you can get all the mats for Mitsuko and Kunchen, and until you get other 5 stars.
