D'Artagnan or Serandite?

Hi everyone, with new heroes come new questions.

I’m currently ascending D’Artagnan, reaching slowly 3/70. This morning, I’ve been lucky enough to pull Serandite. Both of them seem to be very good offensive (and defensive) options, but I only own one set of rings (no problem with emblems).

So which one would you max ?

My red roster :

Hypnos +19 LB
Elizabeth +20 LB
Octros +19 LB
Black Knight +20 LB
Lewena +18
Garnet +16
Marjana-C +18
Gefjon +19
Queen of Hearts +18
Grazul +8
Red Hood +0
Lady Loki +0

Other options (unleveled at all) : Tyr, Khufu, Erebus, Ilmarinen, dupe Hypnos, dupe Lewena, Roughian & Nurgib, Tahir, Zagrog, Baldur, Jean-François, Captain Kestral, dupe Gefjon

Please let me know !

  • D’Artagnan
  • Serandite

D´Artagnan is a very nice sniper, nothing game changing.
Those new Ninjas are about to break the game, it´s an easy choice to see which hero is better.
The real question is: Will the new Ninjas be so ridiculously OP that they have to change their policy and start nerfing offense heroes? So far they have ONLY nerfed heroes that took over defenses… SG already started nefing in that they released them weaker than on beta (which is a good thing), but I don´t think they did enough… so far I have always said they´d never nerf an offense hero, but now I am not so sure anymore… If they want an ongoing powercreep (which they of course do) the question is where to go from here? How can you make better heroes than these in a few months? The only thing left to do is a hero that reads: “Kill all enemy heroes” because everything weaker than that these heroes already do…

Thank you everyone, Serandite seems to be a pretty obvious choice actually.
I don’t think SG will nerf offensive heroes, even though we can be surprised.

I Have the same dillema , in my opinion d Artagnan îs better than Serendite

All you can do is really consider your playstyle in this circusmtance… For me D’Artagnan is the better sniper, and also has the burn - but, this can be cleansed, so loses some of it’s impact. Plus it has the same issue as with Rayne, in that, if they kill their target then the burn has nowhere to go and won’t spread.

With Serandite, you’ll get better pay off across multiple heroes, but less chance of picking off the nuisance heroes. Though, you get the extra added bonus of slightly faster charging for 1x charge (and kind of some mana reduction protection) vs D’Artagnan’s Fast charge, and the healing reduction…
