Image Aether Power Description
Dodge At the start of each battle, this Hero gets +20% chance to dodge Special Skills that deal damage for 6 turns.
In battles with multiple waves, the effect is refreshed at the beginning of each wave.
:no_entry_sign: Resist: Empowered Resist Burn
This character has innate resistance against Burn and gains 450 boosted heath and 5% mana each time they resist.
:hourglass: Ability: Molten Core
This character has a Molten Core.
The Molten Core activates each time this character’s Special Skill is cast:
- All enemies receive Corrosive Burn for 3 turns. With fully charged Molten Core, the Corrosive Burn deals 301 Burn damage, and lowers the target’s defense by -10% each turn.
- The Burn damage is scaled by the amount of charge in the Core. All charge is exhausted when the Core is activated.
:dizzy: Special Skill: Blazing Venom
  • Attacks all enemies with Firestorm Strike, dealing up to 1400 damage. Deals 40% more if the target is of the Nature element. This Special Skill never misses its targets.
  • Damage bypasses target’s Minions.
  • All enemies receive 384 Poison damage over 4 turns.
  • All enemies reveive +45% increased damage from Burn and Poison status ailments for 4 turns

Realms empower their members in unique ways. The more unique members of the same realm there are in the team, the more powerful the realm effects.

  • The Molten Core is charged each time this character receives damage from normal attacks or Special Skills.

:test_tube: Changes from Beta

  • Attack is increased from 1165 to 1207.
  • Defense is increased from 1050 to 1137.
  • Health is increased from 2041 to 2064.
  • Molten Core Burn damage is increased from 233 to 301.
  • Firestorm strike damage is increased from 1180 to 1400.
  • Poison damage is increased from 372 to 384.

Wait am I missing something?

If this guy is fully maxxed then every turn he does 438 burn from his molten core and 136 poison base damage, so 576 damage

And then it goes up by 45%, so 835 damage a turn. Which means 3340 damage over 4 turns

Add on the damage from his firestorm strike. and that means he basically one-shots most team in the game unless it gets cleansed. At average speed.

That seems incredibly stupid. Or is that not how the DoT works?

That’s how i understand him also. I wanted him really bad and save 40 summons for him but got two ott instead. Don t have ott and he will pair really well with dularfulr so can t complain.

This guy hits really hard! I tried with tokens left over from last time …but as expected nothing

Sorry, I have just finished updating the OP.

With the right setup this guy can melt the enemies all by himself even with his base stats.
He throws both poison and fire DOT if things align. And his DOT booster is going to melt the enemies. quickly.
He can still be negated by ailment blockers or reflectors as he doesn’t dispel, and the usual toons/ clerics/ monks and he is average speed. So he is not an outright threat. but can be devastating everywhere else when he is maxed on attack nodes.

It’s still broken imo

Toons” aren’t a good counter because toons aren’t amazing compared to current meta heroes and a team of toons/glass would get completely destroyed in high diamond. You can’t run a team of not-great heroes just to counter one card

The main reason it might not be quite so good in practice is Rosalind/Kolya being everywhere - with all the cleansing mega minions it’s quite hard to get DoT to stick. And Dulafulr and a few other meta heroes block statuses. So this card probably isn’t broken on defence (since there are so many counters) but it seems too powerful on attack

He is strong when he hits but there are also quite a few counters:

  • Taunters
  • Heroes that resist one or two status ailments: besides Toons and Monks, that also includes Astral Elves (Poison), other Nidavellir heroes (Burn), Gargoyles (don’t outright resist poison but they do take no damage from it, and when paired they resist both Poison and Burn). Also, some heroes such as Slayers and Guardian Elephant have passive that negates DoT damage.
  • Cleansers, ideally fast, or those with Shield Guard MM (though MM might die from all that damage before it cleanses everything), or status effect reallocators
  • Status Effect Blockers/Reflectors (C-Hathor, Revna, Dularfur …)

Mind control and the like is iffy however because this guy is Cleric.

Otherwise great hero, and I would like to get him if only because of that awesome design. Also there are not that many damaging Clerics …

How does his synergy with gwynn go? Same special different core ailment.

Does the dmg also bypass mega minion?

Just tested against Sludgus.

Doesnt look it. Fired both him and Gwynn, and MMs took damage

He’s a beast. I raided a friend last night who has one at 4-90+25 and he crushed my whole team
