"Crash bandicoot" style time trial mode

Hi guys

If you’ve played the game you know what I’m talking about right!

I think it would be pretty cool to have a time trial mode for all stages in Seasons 1 and 2 where you try to clear the stage by a certain time to get various rewards.

Eg. If you clear S1 8-7 in 20 seconds you get the Bronze reward which is 1 Atlantis coin

In 18.5 seconds you get the silver reward which is 2 Atlantis coins

In 15 seconds you get the Gold award, for 3 Atlantis coins.

In 11 seconds you get the Platinum reward of 5 Atlantis coins.

Or as @myopia kindly suggested, completion of stage in a certain number of moves. Eg 9 moves for Platinum

And there might be a leaderboard.

I think this would encourage replayability, a new take on the utility of heroes that specialise in farming or speed and bragging rights across the forum.

Thanks

Interesting idea, seems like relatively minimal work to add replay value.

I personally am not a fan of timed/rushed play, so just thinking about this makes me a little anxious, but I’m sure it would be popular with a lot of people.

My feelings about timed play are much the same. But one could tweak it so you get the Bronze reward for finishing in 20 seconds or 10 moves (or whatever number works). Something for the speedsters and the ponderers.

With a no battle items rule. Because you know someone would unleash the dragon attacks for a couple of Atlantis coins.

Agree with this. +1 vote

Or like expand it to like 2-3 game levels/modes:

1 star - regular game
2 star - hard mode
3 star - very hard mode / restricted items

With increasing loot rewards.
Hard modes earn Atlantis coins.
Great for replayability.

Yes of course, I had made that assumption without verbalising it but yes very important lol

I also like this idea. A true puzzle element to Empires and PUZZLES

Agreed—us old farts don’t need another speed test. Number of moves would be fun.
