Costumed Richard (Glass Costume) - 5* Ice / Blue from Season 1

Nope…Glass costumes have the same HP bonus as Toon costume (70%).

Only Attack and Def have increased to 65% bonus (50% for toons)

Resistance also help from mana cutting and dispel from enemy, which reflect can’t

Does the reflect impact Wither?

That pretty much depends on what you’re up against and what team/strategy you’re using. In general:

  • Dispellable Status-effect heavy team or something with annoying status effects (Bearnadette, Mindless, lasting DoTs): Glass.
  • Teams with mana-cut abilities: Toon.
  • Teams with dispel, if you’re using teams dependent on buffs: Toon.
  • Defense: Toons, as they’re more versatile than Glass.

Pulled Glass Richard today after pulling Vivica yesterday. Makes for a mighty strong team.

I’m seeing several guys running the glass version of him in the META - can anyone give more insight into the whole Toon vs Glass discussion after using both.

Yeah Ive seen that too. I can give you my personal view as someone who currenly runs Toon Richard on both attack and defence in high diamond (I usually sit around #1000 but have pushed to top #100 with Richard a few times)

Toons have mediocre speical skills but are balanced by having high stats and raw numbers. If you are running Richard then you need him to hit really hard (since thats all he does), and imo the extra damage against red is a core part of that for an attack team. If you take away that extra damage then he becomes much less appealing – 575% damage to one (and minor damage to others) without any extra effects just isnt very good compared to other modern heroes. So I cant imagine ever wanting to run the glass version on attack.

Regarding the passives, I doubt it makes much difference. I think the toon resist was always just a nice bonus rather than something essential – imo its more important on healers (like vivica) where you can actually lose the match outright if they dont get to fire when you need them. Similalry, reflecting back is going to be nice in some circumstances but I doubt it will have too much effect over all. Someone said above that it can be a bearnadette counter but thats not really how it works — if you are going up against bearnadette then you need a reliable way to protect your whole team. Just having one guy with a 60% chance of relecting does basically nothing, if the other 4 heroes on your team get hit. It might work if you have a whole team of glass+toons I guess.

Basically I think I’d have a very strong preference for the toon version on attack (whcih is where Richard is best anyway). On defence I wouldnt really care, but would maybe prefer the glass version slightly. Ive not trted the glass one yet though personally

This was funny yesterday. I used Loki to copy Bearnadette’s skill which then bounced off of Glass Richard and back onto Loki.

Got him on my 7th (and last) free pull. Now the hard work begins.

Here comes the hesitate before ascend the second Richard, my first was ready without toon, long time ago. Witch one to 2lb?
Toon or glass… Reading opinions.

Mine has been sitting already for 3 weeks. I started on the base now, very reluctantly though. Always happy to do 1 costume, but 4?

Mestro, you only have to spend 10 alpha aether - on the base. So you can do both Richard toon and Glass Richard. Decide ahead of any battle.

Thanks for giving something to look forward to. I dread numerous costumes, but now looks much better.

I did the same for awhile but finally bit the bullet and have him almost there now
