Costume question / confusion (feeding costume or hero)

feeding away my underlying Bane as well?

The Costume chamber give you costume PATTERNS.

Your hero has a costume OUTFIT.

You would lose the base hero AND the costume OUTFIT if you use it to level another base hero or costume OUTFIT.

But if you have a duplicate PATTERN, you can use a duplicate PATTERN to level a costume OUTFIT for one of the base heroes.

You can only use a leveled OUTFIT to level another ( base hero or OUTFIT) by also using the attached base hero.
