My alliance runs green tanks, and while Ratatoskr was good as a stand-in and for comical effect, he’s not suited for the role. I pulled C. Kadilen from the last Chamber, and am almost done leveling her. She’ll get +19 talents when I’m done.
I’ve done some maths (maybe it’s even close!) and I think she’ll come out with around 979 defense, before troops. That, combined with 45% chance to dodge enemy specials for 3 turns for the whole team has potential for solid tanking.
I haven’t encountered her enough in the wild to get a feel for it, and was hoping our glorious community may have some insight. Will C.Kadilen make the cut in tankland?

Do you have Vela? i think C.Kadilen could do a decent work as a tank. Another option to most known telluria/Heimdall centre

I’ll be stripping Vela to give talents to Kad, sadly. I’ve thought about having her as flank without them, but I do have other options. Right now, the end goal is looking like:

I dont know how it can work without Vela. She protecting the green tank is so valuable. But i understand this is an emblem matter.

Short answer: yes, she’s a pretty good tank (with or without Vela). Much better than the rat squirrel at least.

Costume Kadilen tank is a significant improvement over Ratatoskr.
Here is C.Kad at +15 and +19:
I’m not sure about the emblem path as they are not mine.
The question you need to ask yourself before embleming Kadilen is: Do you plan on pulling in any portals like Valhalla or Costume chamber next time?
Costume Kadilen is a good tank but the problem is conflict with Vela over druid emblems. If you plan on pulling in Valhalla or next costume chamber, you have the potential to get Heimdall and/or Costume Elkanen. I think Heimdall with Vela flank or Elkanen with costume bonus and Vela flank would be better than C.Kadilen emblemed with no emblem Vela flank.

This is the math I’m using to calculate said 979 defense.
Base Costume stats before Costume Bonus:
Att 665 Def 791 Health 1271
With Costume Bonus:
Att 698 Def 830 Health 1398
With +19 Talents (Def → Health → Attack):
7 defense nodes +18 * 7 = 126
1 defense expensive node 3% (of base stat 791) = 23
2 health nodes +36 * 2 = 72
1 health expensive node 3% (of base stat 1271) = 38
2 attack nodes +15 * 2 = 30
att 728 def 979 health 1508
The above pictured appears to have taken Attack > Health path, but I’ll be going all Def.
I doubled checked Sorcerer class and I believe the math is correct. You just have to be careful when embleming the base Kadilen path and follow what you want for the costumed version.
Again, I would double think stripping +19 from Vela especially if you will potentially be pulling again soon.

I was not lucky with a costume for Kadilen, but even without a costume she (+16) is my tank flanked by Boldtusk+20 and Vela. Without active raiding (only revenges) she keeps me in 2500 range.

I’m still going back and forth. I want a great tank for my war team, so I figured I’d have to go all out and give Kad all those emblems. What do you think of splitting them and each going to +8/+9? Not ideal to be sure, but it conserves the Green Tank-Vela Flank synergy. I hate that I can’t just “try” it without spending outrageous amount of resources.
With heavily emblemed Finley and Misandra as alternate flanks, I’m still leaning towards stripping Vela, but I have some time to consider my alternatives.

I’m glad to hear she’s doing well in her OG form as well. I wasn’t jumping for joy when she popped out of the costume portal, but I’ve changed my tune and am pretty hyped.
Finley - Natalya - Kad - Misandra - C. Joon would be so much better for defence. Just saying

If you do decide to go the route of embleming Kadilen, I wouldn’t split emblems. Tank survivability takes priority. I would at most give Vela +1 just so she has a chance to spawn minions but thats about it.

Thanks for the input! The order isn’t written in stone for certain. I’ve always run Finely on left wing, but I thought w/ the green tank he might do well next to her. Since they are all fast speed, what’s the logic of Fin and Joon going on the wings? (I do see that this is the trend, but I don’t exactly understand WHY).
Any other red or purple options?

This is what I’m working with (not pictured: Costume Kad and Misandra who are being leveled):
When Kad is ready, (maybe) she gets Vela’s emblems & Joon gets Squirrel’s emblems.
I can say that with 100% certainty she is a viable tank. There were beta configurations that literally had testers with Telluria worried. While she was toned down a bit from there, she is still a super tank. You won’t regret it. As a middle ground, maybe you can share emblems between both her and Vela.

I’d probably do Finley+17 - Natalya+18 - C.Kadilen+19 - Vela+1 - C.Joon+14.
I think I might still prefer Vela over Misandra flanking on defense…especially since you have 500 fighter emblems on BT

Flip Misandra and Natalya here. If Misandra fires first, that might be the difference in charging one of the remaining heroes to fire.
Also, to OP, out of curiosity who are your other maxed greens aside from Kadilen and Raktosr?
