Checking in on future plans

It seems like I’m doing this every 4-6 weeks now, but it’s time again… Have to make choices on my next priorities, or at least check and see if anyone else sees something I don’t.

Blue

Current roster:

Sonya 4/70 +5
Grimm 4/70 +5
Kiril 4/70
Triton 4/70
Boril 4/70

Richard 2/29
Agwe 1/1

13 scopes
9 capes

Blue is the one color where I don’t have a 5* I’m excited about. I’m leveling Richard for now, but I’m just not convinced he’s worth the materials given how low I am on capes. On the other hand, Agwe doesn’t have many fans either. Do I just take a deep breath on spend the capes on Richard or is it worthwhile to hold off for a better option? TC20 has been kind overall…

Green

Lianna 4/80 +1
Caedmon 4/70 +4
Buddy 4/70
Hansel 4/70
Kashhrek 4/70
Melendor 4/70

Skittleskull 4/42
Little John 2/40
Kadilen 1/1
Horghall 1/1
Gadeirus 1/1

1 tonic
13 shields

There’s no way I have enough tonics to start a 5* right now, so I went with Skittleskull to shore up my very week sorcerer bench. Once she’s done, do I keep pushing Little John, switch to Gadeirus, or take a 5* to 3/70? Kadilen seems alright – at least she’s not Elkanen.

Purple

Sartana 4/30
Proteus 4/70 +4
Tiburtus 4/70
Rigard 4/70
Cyprian 4/70

Aeron 1/1
Thoth-Amun 1/1
Proteus 1/1
Ameonna 1/1
Sabina 1/1

7 tabards
16 trap tools

After finishing Sartana, I figure I have four real options:

  1. Sabina. Relatively hard-hitting healer. Fills another sorcerer slot relatively quickly.
  2. Proteus. Because the only thing better than a maxed Proteus is another maxed Proteus, right? It’s not like I have Hel.
  3. Aeron. He seems… solid? My initial thought is that he’s a somewhat better overall hero than Thoth, but he’s a little scattered. It would be nice to have another 5* healing option and the immunity to status effects seems incredibly useful when dealing with, say, Gravemaker of Guin. Average speed is a detractor though.
  4. Thoth-Amun. He’s fast. His minion seems like it hits hard. But overall he seems slightly lackluster. Fast might make up for that though.

Either 4* puts me in a better immediate position of being able to field at least one purple in each war team – and seriously, a second Proteus is really tempting. Right now Balthazar is filling that slot when needed and while he’s fun, guess who always dies first. However, I do have the materials to justify pushing a 5*, and both seem like decent, though not spectacular, options. Anyone want to push me in a specific direction?

Red

Azlar 4/80
Boldtusk 4/70 +6
Falcon 4/70
Colen 4/70

Khagan 2/60
Lancelot 3/60
Gormek 3/39
Marjana 1/38
Wilbur 2/34
Elena 1/12
Scarlett 2/1
Sumitomo 1/1
Boldtusk 1/1

4 rings
3 blades

Because it’s not clear at all from that list, I’m currently pushing Wilbur. I figure he only needs one more blade (my biggest bottleneck in the game, eclipsing even tonics) versus the 5 additional it would take to push Marjana up to an acceptable level.

As much as I’d like to be able to work on Marjana, it just seems like the immediate, across-the-board payoff is better with Wilbur. Anyone care to talk me out of that? Anyone want to seriously argue for Scarlett, Sumitomo, Elena, or Khagan as a better option?

Yellow

Vivica 4/70
Wu Kong 4/70 +3
Jackal 4/70 +4
Gretel 4/70
Hu Tao 4/70

Chao 3/60
Danzaburo 3/39
Onatel 1/1
Leonidas 1/1
Li Xiu 1/1
Jackal 1/1

5 darts
11 orbs

Jackal just finished up, so I really need to make a pick here. Onatel seems worth it given that I nearly have the mats. I can’t imagine taking Leo over her at this point.

If I had a good 4* positioned to ascend, I might take that option to flesh out my roster, but Chao and Danzaburo? Probably not worth that distraction. I’m sure I’ll get to Li Xiu and the second Jackal sometime, but this one has to go to Onatel, right?

tl;dr

Any and all thoughts welcome. If my thinking is off anywhere I’d be happy to learn how. Purple is definitely the hardest choice at the moment, but I’m also really curious as to what people think of Richard.

Bonus question

What summons do you suppose would most help me at this point? I’m strongly considering waiting for May for Avalon – four out of five of those heroes seem worthwhile to my lineup and I already have the fifth. I could see a blue elemental summon working in my favor though.

That’s all assuming they don’t put Gravemaker and, say, Hel in the same Atlantis summon of course. I know I’d jump on that.

You need Frida to bring your blue game to the next level. I’d pull for her, you don’t want to miss out.

Poseidon will feature this Atlantis with most likely Atomos. He is an incredible looking card and I would be pulling in Atlantis hard for those two heroes.

You also get the benefit of ascension chest which gives you more mats to finish off those projects.

That has certainly occurred to me, but I’m just not sure if I can make it happen. We’ll see what happens at the end of the month, but I won’t be able to do any big pulls.

I can certainly hope though – and I won’t move Richard past 2/60 until Frida is no longer on offer.
