Thank you. I woke up today and loaded up the game and it magically worked. So either they went into my account and fixed it or it just magically works!

When other devices are able to access the Internet through your WiFi, the problem lies with your device and its WiFi adapter. As a first step, restart your device and see if that fixes the problem. As with the router, network and software problems often get fixed automatically with a simple restart.
I know what I’m doing with the wifi hardware and I still can’t get the game to connect on wifi. Started having the problem a few days ago. This issue is clearly a developer issue. Just fix it please
