I recently pulled my 2nd and 3rd 5*, Finley and Azlar. I’ll be able to take Fin to 80 and hand him Tiburtus’s emblems. Azlar’s only going to 3^70, I just spent my rings on Grazul.
I’d like to break into the 2400 range, but I’m not sure what my best Defense team would be. I’m thinking:
Boldtusk, Finley, Grazul, Skittleskull, Danzaburo.
Anyone have any suggestions for ascending one of the 3^60’s or what a better D team might be?
To be honest, I think you are still in growth mode. Don’t expect consistency in diamond arena yet. You’ll get there! Here’s a thought and why:
I tried to get you a rainbow defense as that should work better when you go higher as people color stack more. For now, you can probably get away without.
In general, you have a very passive roster. Finley will make a difference as he’s a hitter. You’d be able to swap kiril with boldtusk. You’re missing an ideal tank right now - Kashhrek seems best in that role.

Thank you for your thoughts! You bring up good points. The defense team you’re suggesting is what I’m currently using. That team maintains 2200 without much issue, but over that and I drop like a rock, so regrettably, I agree with your assessment that I’m not quite there yet. Do you think Finley can play a role in improving it? He’ll be 80+5 in 7 days or so.
I have mats to move a couple more rainbow teams of 4* to their final ascension, I’m just taking my time in doing so. I went 7+ months before I saw my first 5, so I’m itching to get to the next tier. Thx again. I hereby grant you special magic luck on your next 5 summons (I’m a priest, so I’m allowed to do that).

I agree with @Rohn. Double red is not as good as double blue with a green tank. The future rainbow looks good too.
Note that Grazul is not bad, just more an offensive hero with your line up long term.

@littleKAF @Rohn give solid advice. Definitely try it out, but experiment on a weekly basis to see what seems most effective. Your not going to stay in diamond and don’t focus on trying to stay above 2400. Be close enough so that you can raid and open your chest in diamond.
I like Grazul tibs kashrek danza Finley until you get some other 5* heroes.
If you level Finley and remove Kiril, you could emblem Kashrekk and get a strong tank.

B: Boldtusk, Wukong, Kashrek, Grazul, Finley
With Grazul flanking Kash stacking red could help the orc filling Mana. Danza can help dealing strong damage, buffing or taking hits till your wing goes off.
Apart from Finlay I’d focus on Caedmon, Rigard and one of these reds: Kellile, Gormek or Azlar.
One thing though about Finley. He wants buffs so he can be most effective. Also, he has a defense down. I question putting him on the right after Tibertus or Caedmon (who removes at least one buff). I also question if he pairs well with Tibertus. May be better to pair with Gafar.

Yeah, one. To stay in platinum and grow. Though a defense may be set for diamond, he doesn’ t have the fire power necessary to sustain or/and to have easy job with heroes chest. I have 3 talented 5* on my alt and I’m still in platinum. In diamond you face talented Aegir, Kunchen and Guin. Why rush, why struggle? Better complete 2 heroes chests in platinum (within 12 hours), than one in diamond. This is my thought…
That team will be good to stay close to diamond, but I think more depth will be needed to remain there.
At the very least Rigard needs to be leveled up. I can’t imagine raiding in diamond with no cleanser
