πŸ“― Bera – New Season 3 Hero – 5* Dark/ Purple: Thoughts, Discussion & Summon Results with Feedback

Hey @wick_dawg, I have both Freya and Bera at 3/70. I can only ascend one at the moment. Do you have any advice on which to ascend first? I am a little inclined towards Freya, she seems more useful all around, especially farming and events. Just wanted to hear what you think since you have both maxed. Thanks.

I would do Freya first unless you face a lot of minion teams. Bera does a great job blocking minions generation.

Another thing to consider is emblems. If you want to put minions in one of them, choose the one you have the most emblems from.

All things equal, I would do Freya over Bera first, but it’s nice to have both maxed

Thank you. I thought same. Got emblems for both. Freya is more useful all around. Gonna go with her.

Last war bera, at 4-80, gave me a win. Freya on opposite side, did nothing and I had time to work my board.

Got her maxed with +9 emblems for two weeks now and my impression is that she is a great, very well balanced support hero, doing a little bit of everything.

The moths are around 300 hp of heal or overheal for everybody on fast mana, which is great.

They also bite viciously every round and on top of that, the poison drains ~75 hp every turn, which softens the enemies properly, or can finish this hostile ready-to-fire Killhare, which you wanted to snipe but had 50 hp left.

I use her in stack with C-Rigard and Seshat, so even if they fire when they are near death, the minions instantly protects them from direct slash assassination, while Dapper quickly injects new life.

In my opinion, her artwork reflects very good who she is - not a brute killer, not a straightforward healer, but something like a guardian angel, which helps everybody doing their job.

I don’t understand her grading. She has a D for direct and a B for passive and a B for overall offense. Vela has a B for direct and an A for passive and overall grade of an A.

Bera DOT matches of not surpasses Vela. It doesn’t hit all but it can depending on who the moths hit. It does however have the potential to last longer if moths keep biting and stay alive. And the minion control is great for all the minion makers.

I love my Bera and I just don’t understand how she was graded so low on her overall offense bc she’s a staple in my raid offense team!

Not to mention with other DOT heroes like GM vela of JF you have to time your special for maximum effect. Say waiting for a cleanser to fire before firing off your DOT. W Bera it doesn’t matter (unless they have a cleanse over time hero). The opponent can cleanse the team and then get reinfected w moth bites so long as minions are still alive.

Yes, I’ve put her in my war defense, and despite double purples, I rarely get one shotted. Sadly, I almost never see her in raid defenses so it’s hard to evaluate how annoying she is. Hope that with β€˜friendly raids’ it will change.

Same I have double purple w alfrike and she does quite well

I’ve got quite an anti minion arsenal and bera is the toughest of the minion makers to face as tank. In wings and flank she doesnt have an impact but the same can be said of every other minion maker

Any recommendations on emblem path? I assume health where possible but does the attack increase make significant enough improvement to damage compared you increasing her survivability through defence? I have her at 4.65 so far…

The attack makes the dot the minions leave hit harder, I went Health>attack>defense

I went a balanced route and I am very happy with the numbers.

The gains of DOT increasing attack are negligible (think: 94 per turn vs. 98 for defense).

Here’s my favorite build I’ve seen.
