Bard family solo hero

Bard family solo hero’s get 5% extra mana. So how come 2 of the same hero get the bonus. There is no comment to say “unique heroes”

Generally the game only counts unique heroes from a family. Generally this is noted too.

I’m guessing this matches intention, but perhaps could be a good way to solve duplicate powerful heroes.

I don’t think Bard family has that restriction. Only other families. I thought I had read it on v51 release notes, or someplace else.

So if there are 2 exact same non-Bard heroes in a team - like double cPanther or double cAlasie, they count as one unique hero and both benefit from the Bard family bonus?

Also what happens if you use the same hero but one is the regular hero and the other is its costume, are they considered unique heroes and benefit from their own family bonus instead of the Bard family bonus.

Yes to both questions, this was tested when the bards were released.

It’s also why they don’t benefit from their Guardian family bonus. Or rather, because they don’t benefit from their Guardian family bonus, they’re considered orphans and benefit from the Bard family bonus.

One more question… There are certain families like Gargoyles or S5 Sun and Moon families where they enjoy their family bonus with a single hero. So if such unique hero is used with a Bard, they technically benefit from both family bonuses?

Yes, because the condition isn’t to not have an active family bonus, but to not have other heroes from the same family.
