Get Stronghold level 10.
Convert a level 5 building into Barracks.
Click your troop and feed other troops of the same color to it.

I made the mistake, to convert an iron storage.
A better choice is the forge. Just built a second (or third) and convert one of them.
Can’t you just convert them back? Convert the barracks back to the iron storage?
I know I can convert my barracks back to the forge it original was.
