Do you know all the words to ‘Tiny Dancer?’
(Totally singing it right now…)
To be fair, 50-50 chance you go there intending to click, but wander off topic down some ancient post rabbit hole, running out of likes before you get there…
I have far exceeded my lifetime maximum of Tiny Dancer
Music Lifetime Maximum Theory
Music Lifetime Maximum Theory is that every song has some limit over which any further exposure to it causes a violent negative reaction. Each person’s Lifetime Maximum for a song is highly individual.
A song (or entire genre) one despises may have a Lifetime Maximum of 1. A song one really likes could have a Lifetime Maximum approaching infinity.
Tiny Dancer rant
For some reason every playlist that includes pop/rock music from the 70s has the song Tiny Dancer in it. Every. Single. One. Classic Rock. Soft Rock. Top 40 Hits. Yacht Rock.
Of all the good Elton John songs… Rocket Man? Yellow Brick Road? Your Song? Daniel? Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me? Many more too numerous to name I hardly ever hear. So why did someone decide Tiny Dancer is the universal Elton song???
I exceeded my Lifetime Maximum of Tiny Dancer about 10,000 occurrences ago…
You can’t deny that it’s a pretty exclusive club though. Nice one.
