I have a full red mono team already. Zim, Ares, Marjana, Falcon, BT… all fully levelled.
I have the rings for one of Azlar, Santa or Elana.
Our war teams run red tanks, but I have Ares at +5, so not needed there.
Which of the 3 slow-pokes to final stripe?
I’m leaning toward Elana for her use vs. Titans (attack stat) and potential for tanking in Raid Tourney’s when everyone is ‘very fast’.
But Santa seems very strong as well, and I have the Emblems I could give Azlar, but fighter and monk are already spoken for, so not options on Santa (because Drake has the) or ELana (Missandra has my fighter emblems)
I’ll watch the thread carefully because those are my three red 5* needing feeders right now. I am feeding Santa in case I want a red tank but only have Zimkitha maxed at the moment so my needs are not exactly the same as yours.
Elena is very tempting because I do like riposte heroes (still running Boril as tank at +9 while Kunchen climbs to his natural spot) and her tile damage will light the titans up.
Azlar and Elena will be brutal if there is ever a very fast raid tournament that allows 5* heroes (would need to exclude Green b/c of MN and Alby). For that I may think Azlar’s burn could be better because it gets behind minions and burns the underlying hero (assuming minion casters could be three deep in minions almost non-stop) Red Hood would be almost invulnerable since her minions heal each turn.
With the burn and emblems in play Azlar could be your better option…
Good point. Heh. This is a tough call. And rings are scarce. I was going to use them for Anzogh to replace BT, but got thinking I should tank up for future raid tourneys instead.

My vote is either for Azlar or Santa. I don’t have Azlar, but I do run Santa as my war and raid defense tank. He keeps me in Diamond and often causes our opponents to use multiple flags to take out my war defense.
As a note for @Sternman - since I know you’re not interested in replacing Ares - I also run Zim on my war defense. Her elemental link gives Santa some extra health and cleanses.
Also, I often use Santa against green titans. I’ll admit, I don’t have many red snipers so I use what I have. BUT! I’ve found that his minions are very fast and don’t delay your hit like Red Hoods minions. I actually like using him on titans as his minions hit each round and provide protection from Titan hits.
I am pretty patient, but I even had that exact thought today how great elena would be in that particular scenario! I just got my 11th ring today and have marjanna #2 , azlar and khagan. My tome count may be lower than you’res but I’m still not sold on any of them.
Gravemaker should hopefully be coming around again soon as well, for me my consideration is who would fit best on my 6th line in war. Since I am doing mono , soon I’ll have a 5* rainbow. And I cant justify giving the rings to a slow hero!
I should add, I’ve been holding onto the rings for almost 3 months and still havent ascended after this Atlantis if no GM I am going to likely go for azlar, just for the niche very fast potential raid tourny
Here’s a screenshot from one of the days of the tourney. I didn’t always use this team to attack, of course, but I did use a version of it. Santa’s minions were pretty helpful when healing wasn’t allowed
