Slowly but surely I’m beginning to have the mats for 5’s!
I’ve got kunchen and onatel into 4 tier, Evelyn just waiting for 1 mysterious tonic, only Richard for blue, 4 farsighted telescopes required, but holding for a different blue! However, I have the rings, blades and trimmings for red, but who? Hood or azlar?
Healers are incredibly valuable in this game, and Hood on top of that is the only one in ranger class.
You already have Kunchen as healer, and Azlar is a great hero, but i still give rings to Red Hood first in your shoes.

Exactly my same question. I got rh and azlar too
I feel the forum will be against me, but I will say Azlar. Hood is great, but minion powers are hard to count on. Azlar, while slow is the biggest hitter for raw damage in the game (hits everyone + DOT). He is always useful, even when you don’t use him for raids any more. He rocks for farming and quests.
Granted, you can not choose wrong. Both are great.

I chose Red Hood before Azlar. Red Hood is very good all around hero with many purposes. She’s good in defence and offence. Minion meat shield is great.
Azlar is destructive and worth the rings as well. My azlar is 4^59 at the moment.

How’s the rest of your roster situated? The two heroes fill very different kinds of gaps, so knowing what 4* they’ll be working with helps.
Also, is your focus more wars/raids, events/seasonals, or titans?

Wars raids and events! Titans I seem to do ok even with my current set up, with adjustments for titan! I’ve colen at 4/70+6 kiril, choa, sabina the same, Triton at 4/51 and growing, then lots of bits and pieces as I kind of got focused on just one group, and not the whole lot! 42 decentish heros to form teams for wars!
Since you have a talented Colen, I’d vote for the red hoodie.
Azlar deals the same DoT at 3.70 as if he was maxed.

I maxed Kunchen recntly and I already regret it…
At 42 heroes, you have some flexibility. Minion producing heroes are not great for war offense with Arrow Barrage, because it almost always takes down the minion. So minion producing heroes are a bit more limited-purpose on war offense.
In general, do you find yourself wishing your red stacks hit harder, or lived longer?
Is it possible that this isn’t a problem so much with healers in general as it is with slow healers being inherently bad?

try your luck at next Atlantis , incase you get Ariel then 100% Azlar , Ariel+Azal is sick combination
somehow Redhood is so-so hero , she is good at Map/Quest/Even for staking minion , but not really work well in Offense/Defense in Raid , personally i never fear if Redhood casts her special , but i fell my life doomed if Azlar did
Red Hood isn’t that good. She’s useless against titans (minions waste precious seconds). Her attack skill is only symbolic. Average mana speed. She’s powerful but only as a oponent during the event. Don’t waste rings on her.

Red Hood’s Foxes are great during offense and raid/war defending. Definitely not against titans, I agree with Ortega there. Foxes healing waste time. Unlike Inari’s who activate specifically, Red Hoods just spawn for everyone. Azlar is better in this regard, not just because he doesn’t summon minions, but because his tile damage is also higher and burn is a great ailment to cast on the titan.
I think Red Hood beats Azlar at everything else that isn’t time sensitive. i.e. Azlar is better against Titans and arguably event quests for using up less time with his skill. She is really good on the campaign in my experience, the survival she offers is great when time isn’t an issue. I certainly will appreciate that utility more. On wars it depends, arrows will eat minions, but she does well with other boosts. Her minions on defense also prevent negative mana ailments, which are popular on offense too. So imo Red Hood is better in those areas.
So if you want higher titan and event scores, I’d say Azlar. If you want better survival during raids, war offense and Season 2’s campaign, then Red Hood.

Ok, a slightly different question? Azlar into top tier, or colen 4/70+7?
Azlar ofc , especially if you had Mana Troop + paier with mana regen buff (Ariel,Danza) would be great help in defensive

I don’t have both but I would prefer azlar. Red hood is really only a raid/war specialist. Doesn’t do good at titans and her skills range from meh to useless on farming while Azlar is well rounded
Just wanted to add on to this for those that search. I pick read hood for her offensive and defensive capability. her minions heal and this is true but they also prevent effects that drain mana. Comes in handy (when you can trigger it) against all those guins in top ranks
Alsk minions work great when you have multiple characters that summon them. Throw inarj on the team for a chance rto dodge those aoe, gobblers, lancelots etc.
