Atlantis farming

I just don’t understand this from a business point of view ( I really need to finish my article about paywalls so I can post it to forum and reference it ).

This undercuts several paywalls, making the company less money. This makes farming season 1 even more boring, and plodding through season 2 for coins even more disheartening.

Ideally Atlantis, with its higher World Energy cost would pay better on recruits, food and ascension items ( ingredients are not a paywall, they are a distraction ). This would encourage IAP for loot tickets, VIP Passes for loot tickets, triple strong color 5* teams for faster Real World speed autoplay ( we also need more team slots which Devs could require gems to purchase), IAP for ascension items for 15, legendary training, 5* heroes for Farming.

This were all common complaints on the forum about the season 1 map.

The Devs should have created the best five teams of triple strong color 5* heroes made solely of heroes from legendary training, then created five provinces that were weak to each color and vulnerable to each team. To encourage farming all five provinces have a different World Energy cost ( and ascension items ), but the best food/ WE ratio and recruit/ WE

Example:
legendary training, triple blue 5* team might be best in 9 WE province which paid 4.5- 5 recruits per 1 WE ( total 40- 45 recruits )

legendary training, triple red 5* team might be best in 12 WE province which paid 4.5- 5 recruits per 1 WE ( total 54- 60 recruits )

Repeat for green, yellow and purple, legendary training, triple strong 5* hero teams.

Currently I plan on running Atlantis stages once for the normal pay out then going back to my season 1 autoplay farming. 8-7 is relatively fast with triple green, no red. 7-7 is a poorly designed stage. It is faster than 8-7 in Real World speed autoplay due to 33% less mob waves, and 50% less bosses, and slightly less food per WE and recruit per WE then 8-7, but is a yellow/ purple stage. If the Devs had made it a yellow boss, yellow/ red mob, then a triple purple, no yellow team would be ideal for Real World speed autoplay encouraging players to level 5* purple heroes from legendary training.

MY PERSONAL OPINION
All the pay walls, and many of the HOTM/ event heroes, appear to be centered on Titans. Which makes sense from a business point of view since titans are the only social aspect of Empires until the Devs work all the kinks out of War match making ( which for some players will be never since Titan AI is much more predictable, and beatable, than human running war attack teams ).

But a majority of a players interaction with Empires is farming ( world map for recruits, raids for food, war for ascension items, gem quests for summons, rare quests for guaranteed 3*/ 4* ascension items ). The Atlantis map just seems a huge missed opportunity to change the farming aspect of the game.

Correction. There appear to be A few levels that have better recruits, 6-6 and 6-10 hard plus 6-8 and 6-9 normal which are coming in around 2.3 recruits / flag. Still worse than 12-9. Still not even close to the 3-flag zone levels. Also not very good for iron, or XP compared to S1 levels. They do appear to have better crafting items and farmable ascension items.

I’ve got some hope that there may be other better farming levels in S2 released.

Well, don’t lie people. Something like that YOU get only by quest. Above is just a result of useing tickets. Actualy, 8/7 or 9/1 give u the dame 8-11 recruits and it costs 3 energy.

Trying to decide which levels to use for the Trick: saving energy wasted due to leveling ( see notes ). I have been using season 2, province 6, stage 9, normal ( s2-6-9-N ) since it gives me 44 recruits per 18 WE ( ~2.44 per 1 WE or ~7.33 per 3 WE ) almost every time.

I don’t really care about XP, food or iron. Farmable 3* ascension items are something I will care about in the future.

Is it worth using some battle items to try finishing 6-6 and 6-10 hard ? Or should I just wait for more provinces to be unlocked ? The Devs seem to be unlocking provinces based on old HotM schedule they have for Atlantis summons,

I have now done S2-P6-S10-hard 5 times. 4 of those times I received 24 recruits and one 22. Not as good as 8-7, but close. I also received 1 backpack and 4-5 swords each time, plus at least one 4 star farmable. Now that we get recruits from raids, I don’t need max recruits, just good enough to keep my hero engine running.

If anyone tries it, let me know you luck.

Using loot tickets to maximize gain when exp is nearing the 0% cross over requires math, but, more, it requires patience.

In your example, you had 23 wep to use and 517 exp to bring down to zero. If you took ten minutes playing maybe 7-7 (not looking at guide, hip shooting a province), then you would not have wasted those two flags.

i dont have any hard data but 2/1/9 seems like a decent place to farm, anyone else have thoughts or data on this? not great for recruits but does seem to be a decent place for kits along with a decent monster count for chests. i hit it about 6 times then hit 8-7 3 times and chest is full.

7-4 continues to be best level for chest filling. Just monsters, not counting anything else

I did 6-10 hard with Kiril, Tiburtus, Boril, Little John and Chao. All maxed.

Items loaded:

small healing potion,
small mana potion,
medium mana potion,
bombs ( could use axes )

Only used a few healing potions if they ganged up on one hero.

bombs and medium mana potions were for emergencies which didnt happen. :smile:

My approach on farming S2 has been based on vanity more than efficiency/results…I’ve been farming levels to complete the avatar missions :rofl: … after I fill a monster chest in the S1 3-flag zone.

So I have yet to actually farm the hard levels. I have completed them all for the coins, but didn’t need to use battle items. (I did discover that autofarming the hard levels was a mistake, after wasting 10WE a time or two, oopsie!)

I’m still hoping for other good farming levels to be unlocked; while the recruits/WE are acceptable, province 6 features practice swords, my least favorite of the usable 1* ascension items, meaning more of them at the expense of backpacks and rugged clothes. (I wish that province 1 with backpacks featured had more recruits someplace)

In a couple more days there are three more levels opening up.

Yes that says 8 backpacks! Highest I have seen yet.

I am starting to warm to s1-12-9. I can use my s1-7-7 farming team ( both have Yellow bosses and some/ all yellow mobs ) and its stats compare well to s1-7-7

I do all my farming comparisons in xx/flag instead of straight values, otherwise I get confused. I extracted data from a few levels for comparison purposes, including various S1 favorites and the most promising ones from S2 provinces 1-6 (7-9 is likely to have something of value, but I don’t have sufficient data yet)

Curiously, in S2, the relative quality doesn’t (usually) match between Normal and Hard. I didn’t include the one I saw as “worse”.

None of these S2 levels are better than S1: 12-9 in XP, Food, Iron, or Recruits, 'tho 6-10 hard matches it in recruits.

In fact, these levels which are among the best of S2 recruits wise and they don’t exceed S1: 23-11 by much, which I have long considered to have unacceptably low recruits for farming. The great majority of S2 has recruits that bad or worse!

I am still getting different values than you for recruits in s1-7-7, s1-8-7 and s1-12-9. I wish we know the actual percentages on the recruit loot roll.

s2-6-9-N seems to indicate:

1/3: X -1
1/3: X
1/3: X +1

X= base recruit drop.

Every level I’ve examined, I’ve seen that X-1 / X / X+1 pattern. I’ve not looked carefully to see if the three are always equally distributed.

Item drops, troop drops, feeder hero drops, food, and iron all follow other patterns / distributions, with items varying much more widely. (XP seems fixed per level)

Back to the original map, visting 5-8 and picking up my nuggets :slight_smile:

Atlantis didnt prove to be worthed farming, after checking all my runs on both maps 8-7 still proves to be one of the best

It says season 2 stage 9 there are greater chances of dragon bones, but they seem to drop more on 8-7 for me, plus all the recruits etc…

Randomness is what is in game here, do you pay 10 flags or 3 flags for a random drop?
I ve had great runs on atlantis with 1 nugget and 2 roots, but these also have dropped on 5-8 and 8-7.

I spent a lot of energy for season 2, but it looks like season 1 is a bit better for me.

I don’t care about forge ingredients. What I’m after are troops and feeding heroes. All my TC produce only 1s / 2s heroes (lvl 1,2,11,19). Besides I have more than enough recruits cause of some extra drop from raiding. Where is the best place to farm food for heroes? At the moment I do 5-6 all the time cause of backpacks and 1s/2s hero drop.
