I’m not a 2LB fan, but does he worth it?
His strongest asset is really very fast cover, which makes him valuable at high end diamond

Is Athos still a LB2 candidate following the Big Balance? My logic is to break musketeers to help durability if going solo and covering another. With Quenell needing time to get up to full strength was thinking of LB2 Athos, not seeing in defences amymore… has his star faded with stronger opponents these days?
This is his card after the most recent changes. He is definitely still viable looking at his stats, both on offence and defence due to his range of skills. He fits into any team and the cover he provides he is very useful. Plus all his other skills. I find him useful alongside a taunt hero because he can take cover whilst taunt is active so stops your taunter getting totally hammered. He’s a super sniper at VF and I take him everywhere with me.

Wanted one of the new ones, but he decided to show up instead. I’m not unhappy about it though as he’s new to me and a very fast sniper with cover and minion destruction is always welcome

Been a while since anyone has posted about Athos. Is he still pretty valuable? I always thought he was a pain to go against.
like all heroes over a few moths old his stats are getting passed by pretty rapidly but the skills look good still for a sniper, don’t run into him much but no idea what that means, maybe used more on offense than defense

I’ve always thought of him as more of an offensive hero anyway. Snipers can be annoying on defence, but you can mitigate half his special if you don’t take minion summoners.
On offense it’s a different story as you can use him to damage heroes and be ready to fire again pretty quickly, in the right situation. Also useful against goblins as he’ll knock off half the health.
I say all this, mine’s still at 3/70, but he is next in line for tonics. Cover is a very useful skill, especially at very fast

There was a time i so badly wanted this card, but he is no longer will fit my play. Strange how things change in a few months.
He can cover his allies v fast due to his speed. That can be in certain situations quite valuable imo
I still find him useful for taunt defenses (especially Phorcys who has minions). Pairs well with my Darkfeather and other mana speedy heroes like Myoin-ni. He still finds a place for raids and some war attacks.

What makes him tempting for me is one, I’m in need of green heroes bad. Second, at very fast, with a legendary troop he won’t be slowed down and the stat boost from the legendary troops should help.

Great point. I do have a legendary troop that matches with him. Here’s mine (LB1 +20) with that troop. Not top end, but serviceable!

Yeah that thicc, he’s a beast
I set him up in a team and attacked a province. Once the battle starts, press and hold on the hero to see stats in battle, which includes troops.

What exactly is he doing against mega minions? He takes the half of life first, and then? Is the damage like Uraeus from the enemy or will the hit goes against the minion and the minion is down to “(half of HP)-damage”? Does he gain mana for the half kill? Or generally: will he ever gain mana for a mega minion?
