I have both Azlar and Mitsuko at 3 70, and i have the rings. So i need some help on choosing which one to go with. They are my only red 5*. If someone has them maxed i would appreciate some opinions 
I prefer Mitsuko to Azlar on my team but Mitsuko fits my team set up much better. The mana cut is nice for control plus she will do damage, keep her weak color at bay, and deal with status effects. I just like her.

Mitsuko, she is more annoyong than Azlar
So you prefer her for your offensive team as well?? Ever used her on titans??

I like her BEST on offense actually. She has one of those specials that I actually dont like as much on defense since you lose a little strategy but shes absolutely sevicable in that position too. To me, shes more useful on titans than i originally thought due to reflecting negative status effects from annoying titans.
Mitsuko for me. I have her maxed at 80+1. She is good against green tanks but really shines when you have that plus flank or corner average or slow blue hitters, like Grimm, Isarnia, Richard, Thorne
They are just a free kick for Mitsuko. She is not only very effective, it is amazing fun to watch Isarnia explode herself, and other similar powerhouses suffer similar fate. I take her raiding anytime there are blue hitters. She even inconveniences Alasie, Magni, Misandra and makes them very killable.
I hate attacking azlar flank or corner teams, but if you can keep Rigard alive, he isn’t too worrying. If you need a defender he might be better, but Mitsuko is my tank and she keeps me in low diamond/high platinum with only a 3750 team.
Depends what you want, but I love my Mitsuko

Mitsi is the overall better hero. Very good on offense. Solid on defense.
But if titans is your main goal then go Azlar!
Azlar is a beast with high damage output but not much survivability. Mitsuko is solid with a devastating ability. Not only is her mana average instead of slow, but she provides tactical advantage in addition to damage. The mana cut is great but the blue reflect is what makes her incredible. I’ve faced her as a tank in raids and lemme tell ya if you like to stack colors against a tank, she is the most punishing tank if her special goes off. If I raid her I go full mono blue because if I only brought 3 blues chances are she’s guaranteed to fire off her special once as my tile damage is unlikely to kill her fast enough. When I bring mono blue, the plan is basically to kill her in 3 blue tiles but if I don’t get those tiles and she charges up she completely shuts down my whole team. Excellent hero.

Mitsuko is also a sorcerer and this could help her to charge her special before it would be too late by preventing the opponents to charge first.

Can I just say as well that Mitsuko is singlehandedly killing the Captain and Alice in the wonderland event. You can’t really take green because the reflect, so that leaves a lot of anti blue firepower at home. Enter Mitsuko…

I see a lot of love for her in here. I wonder why she only got a B from Anchor. I never realized she is so used on offense.

Mitsuko is great on offense as the AI doesn’t know how to hold back specials so they’ll fire whenever it’s ready. As an attacking player, you’ll just have to max her special and hold till the opponent’s blue defensive heroes are ready to fire. Almost every top defensive team has a Magni, Athena, Alasie, or even Perseus… Sometimes even 2 blues… Just have to watch them kill themselves 
On defense, the attacking player can actually wait out her blue reflect buff, unless they’re totally clueless as to her special. There are also numerous fast and very fast mana heroes who can dispel the buff.

As always, which hero you ought to ascend depends on what is important to you (raid and war attack or defence, Titans, events, farming?), what heroes you plan to team them with and what your playing style is.
Note that Zimkitha makes Azlar must less effective, but Mits will always help with mana reduction (on non-clerics at least). DoT is more easily countered than mana reduction IMO

Mitsuko all day. I had same dilemma earlier with Santa or Mitsuko for my first rings. I gave the rings to Mits, and maxed now +1 talent. She is a beast!! For real, on defense, but really shines on offense. You technically don’t need to bring any greens against blue heros allowing you to color stack the tank/dangerous heros. 100% my most used hero now.

I really love my Azlar… but I’d go with Mitsuko first if you like raiding and wars.
On offense she steals mana from one side and lets you load up junk tiles on the blue side and then make them kill themselves. It’s a big advantage having control of an entire color like that. Just having her in your deck allows you to take more advantage of team composition angles. Either you nullify an entire color’s attacking specials, or if that color is absent, then you can stack against whatever color is doubled.
On defense she either makes you keep the strong color against her at home, which is a big advantage, or if you bring them she steals mana and forces you to delay attack which is like speeding up mana for her team in a way. She’s amazing on both.
Azlar’s tiles are better for titans and events though

I’m about to make the choice between marjana and Mitsuko … consensus the same here… go with mits?
This will be my 3rd red, Ares and GM being the first two.
I would go Mitsuko. I chose her and Azlar over Marjana. Fast damage is boring to me, and it comes from a lot of places. I’d rather have what Mitsuko brings… comes with lots of cool possibilities with family link bonus, class bonus all speeding her up. While she already has better tiles and similar survivability as Marjana

Makes sense, plus I don’t have a place for my sorcerer tokens yet, and my rogues are already going to jackal. Thanks. I’m just overthinking it a bit ever since realizing most of the snipers I’ve maxed are sadly in the same class.
