Game creators: try using the actual levels of the players for matching the alliances. Add up all of their levels, and divide it by the # of members. Then the only advantage will go to the players that put in the time and effort to increase their power vs. their level. These players should have an advantage if they were smart enough to do that!
You forgot money lolā:joy:
Are you suggesting as the ONLY metric or a piece of the matchmaking puzzle?
As the only metric I would be concerned. There are people who spend money in my alliance 15 levels lower than me at the same team powerā¦my guess is this is the case elsewhere as well.
With all due respect what exactly will this accomplish?
Player level in no way correlates to raid and bench strength. It is true that advanced players will have accomplished more the longer they play, but there is a much larger portion of the player base (arguably those who are more affected by the miss matches) who plateau out after a certain amount of time in regards to personal progression, yet continue to play and level.
There are no easy fixes. An allianceās AW ability is not predictable based off of a simple, single metric. Itās true this is one of the few that havenāt been tried. But for the reasons already mentioned I canāt see how it would result in fewer mismatches.
A good matchmaking mechanism will result in fair, competitive match-ups. Thatās what we all want. We donāt want to dominate or be dominated (I mean in your own home itās cool as long as everyone is consenting). Any single metric (other than the elusive āwar scoreā which has not been satisfactorily defined) will not do this.
There needs to be better management of this event. Stop pairing guild that are WAY different in score and members. Also, please only allow certain players to attack other players of the same grade.
Sadly this is no optionā¦
I myself am level 32 and have 0 5* heroās
In my guild there are 3 players that are around level 20 and have full 5* teamsā¦
Yes I will have a deeper bench then they will have but this will not be a good way to calculate the warsā¦
Well, somehow my Alliance (currently nĀ°201) got matched against nĀ°71. I canāt even begin to comprehend how that happened, but Iāve pretty much had it with these Wars. If itās not a bug screwing things up, its the āmatchmakingā. Very very demotivating for a lot of my members.
Thank the great and mighty all knowing developers for screwing up something that was pretty fun and challenging now its totally impossible why not just take the smallest and weakest alliances and put them up against the top 100 their idea of randomness is pathetic
Done with wars. The matching is uneven, the enemy aid and arrows is bull, and when I get into a stalemate with 2 of my guys against 1 of theirs left I get the defeat? How does that even logically make sense? I have 2, they have 1. I have the greater team. Fix it or make it optional to join. Oh and you need to make it so if people join the guild just to fight and get points and they leave the guild after, their points get removed. Too many people cheating the game for wins and making it un fun. I spend real money on this game and Iām really starting to feel like I wasted my money and never will again.
The current matchup is much better than it used to be.
Itās based on the heros on your roster. We are a top 50 alliance that consistently get matched up with top 20 opponents. Our wars are much closer than they were before when we would get someone outside the top 100.
That may work for your alliance @Psychawk but the vast majority of us who are not in a top 100 alliance the matchups are quite unbalanced
So far matchups been pretty even, then again we are not a top alliance and things can get complicated at higher Lvls. So its based on roosters now? They calculate all rosters in an alliance and match it with a similar one? Do they take assencion and lvls on consideration? Would be simple arithmetic so I assume it is. Anyways so far match up seems fair. Hope its stays that way
Had a fun match today. What are the odds of both players involved running out of flags on exactly 8002 points each?
Not sure how the matching is being done, but the number of players per side has a disproportionate effect at low values. 1 vs 3 usually is a huge mismatch, but 1 vs 1 seems spot on when it happens to me.
