I took a small step today and decided Iāll no longer do the Taverns quest. I already donāt buy the offer, or use gems to pull, and my free coins donāt give me anything but feeder 3 stars.
When I was doing the quest today I realized that the first time was a novelty but this time it felt like I was just wasting my time. Yes, I know the game is supposed to be a time waster but I could have simply filled that time by auto-farming while I worked on other stuff around the house.
I feel tired and jaded too. I reach my 2 year anniversary of playing this week!
Agonised about leaving the alliance that I have been in for 676 days and love so much. I guess I am the āde factoā leader. I mentioned last night I was thinking of leaving after the war and before PoV. I promised to mull it overnight.
Now its morning, I canāt quite hit the leave button, but this morning I posted the following to them:
Hi all. Decided to stay a while with some changes. Not going to pay for or stress about PoV. Will opt out of next 2 wars and see how I feel. Will continue to hit Titans to help the team. Will not post so much in the alliance banners. Will probably not continue my record keeping of War and Titan results. Will only do events where there is a guaranteed 4 star mat at the end. You folks are just too great to abandon! If, on that basis, you would prefer me to leave - Iāll hop over to Jax/Sarah before the next war "

IMHO, itās definitely the friends you meet along the way that encourages active daily play. 676 days in the same alliance is a huge commitment - GL in your decision makingā¦ Tough call .
Iāve decided to cut down on one thing which was really eating up my time: Placing in my chosen tiers in Challenge Events.
I used to aim for Rare-Top 10000, Epic-Top 5000, and Legendary-Top 10000. And I can place in those, but it just takes too many retries and flasks; and I especially hated having to check in throughout the whole challenge event just to see if I still stayed in.
Itās especially annoying getting to like Rank 2000 in Epic, only to watch myself sink to Rank 5700 after 24 hours, and struggling to get back on the ladder again. I was aiming for higher yesterday, but realized I had spent 3 hours replaying only to get to Rank 3711ā¦ then falling back down again in the evening. Well, no more. Now Iāll just play for completion. Sure, Iāll end up one tier lower in rank, with worse rewards, but the time sink is NOT worth it anymore.
It does, but itās a nice distraction while waiting on flags to recharge.
Plus there are some good friendly funny people here to keep you entertained in the meantime.
And lots of knowledge to be learned as well, once youāre able to discern the difference between actual advice versus fake news / unrealistic bragging (Iām F2P and I gets all da best 5* heroes every time!) / unrealistic complaining (I havenāt gotten a decent board in 6 months!) etc.
I redused my game play cos of game. In a last month i deraw 30 heroes on tc, token or events, and got 27 heroes with 3* one 4* and two 5*.is that fer draw? And i play 3 year and draw the same heroes all the time. 3 years i canāt get Kolen, Magni, Vivicaā¦ So tell mi what is the point of playing all Day? Lot od my friends leave game cos of that,and all say that this game is the same like casino. You need a mount of luck to get smonthing.
Thought of this thread as Iāve recently soft core retired from E and P. Not going cold turkey but Iām instead slowly fizzling out. Iām letting flags sit idle, no more autofarming, and only doing events I still find fun. Probably going to quit fully once my VIP runs out. Nothing dramatic but simply getting bored and if Iām gonna waste time on a game it better be nothing but fun and entertaining. Was still fun while it lasted. Gotta give a shout out to all the amazing alliance mates Iāve had the pleasure to game with over the past year and a half! Was half of what made the game as fun as it was.
