I think you’re fundamentally misreading the comments you mention. Every single instance you describe is about people asking for the loot of the relevant other source to get increased, not asking for raid tournaments to get reduced loot.
So, for instance that thread you link isn’t calling for a nerf of raid tournament loot, but a buff of titan and war loot. BossWolf makes the point explicitly midway down:
