I finally just got my second compass and can chose to ascend Boldtusk, Rigard, Chao or Colen.
I am deciding between BT and Rigard.
Also, i dont have C Rigard yet, but would i need a 2nd compass to ascend him?

Rigard is the one I’d most want. Hard part with season 1 four stars is some of the best ones are healers, so you can get into a situation where all of your good heroes are heroes.

Im there now with BT, rigard, ptolemy and kiril all 3/60.
Not for the costume. You will need one extra trap tool.

Yes, but Ptolemy muddies the water a bit since their skills have some overlap.
Don’t think I saw another cleanser on your roster, and Rigard appears to be the only purple four-star, so I think I’d take that into consideration as well.
Also, if you plan to ascend Colen, he and Boldtusk are competing for mats. So, going with Rigard might enable you to get another four star maxed sooner. I’m sure you’ve noticed Colen’s a bit squishy at 3-60. He’s much more serviceable maxed. Buys him more time to fire his special.
Don’t think you’ll go wrong either way. Both Rigard and Boldtusk are solid.

Absolutely noticed that about Colen. My strategy with current roster has been to pair BT with Colen and Rigard with Treevil. I add a 3rd healer with the sole goal of keeping tree and colen alive long enough to fire.
I have been playing for 4 years and Rigard is still my favorite healer. He was the first hero I got all the emblems for too. He takes a place on one of my offensive war teams to this day.

Rigard is fantastic - and with Limit Break items and Emblems, if you one day get his costumes - he´s like a mini five star. I use him all the time - his cleanse is so helpful too. 
You´ll be using Boldtusk too I am sure - so there´s no way to go wrong. Have fun

I have both Boldtusk and Rigard w/ costume maxed. I’ve been playing for several years and these are still two of my go-to healers. Boldtusk plus Wilbur will do a ton of damage. So here’s the thing, leveling a costumed hero takes 2x as long. I’d level Rigard first and then move to Boldtusk. Then if you do get Rigard’s costume, you’re already half way to having the costumed version maxed.

I still use both and I’m 3.75 years into playing. Either or is fine… You won’t regret either… And… The compasses eventually come so often that it is annoying… I have hundreds…

Please consider working up more of your 3 stars. You’ll want plenty of them for wars. They don’t even have to be “best”. They’re cheap to level up and you’re at a point where you need cheap.

Funny you mentioned that because outside of rigarf who i just ascended, im working exclusively on the 3*s.
Good plan. I started working on 4 and 5 stars two early… that lesson cost me a couple months.

As discussed, I ended up ascending Girard.
I was able to pick up another compass today in Farholme Pass quest. Is it just that simple to ascend BT, or is there a better option on my roster given that Girard and BT have some overlap?
