Unfortunately one loss happened on the 3rd match against this:
Opening board was bad enough, but main problem is Bane hit Tyrum (of course he would 
), and then Tyrum missed on his dispel (of course, why wouldn’t he ) so ended up getting a 0 on this one. Whatever. Since I’m currently ranked 6839 with an A defense, didn’t bother wasting 75 gems for the last two attacks.
My thoughts on this tourney as someone who is running with 0 emblems and 0 LB heroes: honestly I didn’t really start feeling the difference until halfway through day 4, when I finally started meeting the “cap teams”. Even then, since I’m always fighting +100 teams with +0 heroes in 3* tourneys, it still didn’t really change things too much except it meant I needed slightly more board luck than usual. My own personal conclusion is this still doesn’t justify me putting emblems on 3* or spending aethers on them, but I’ll be leveling up my 2* troops some more to compensate slightly for the power creep.
Top 1% is still doable but definitely will need a very strong defense performance from day 1. So definitely worth spending a bit more time thinking about how to put out at least a B grade defense.
