I did.

So … what do you mean by competitive then?

I did agree with @Rigs for the most part before I had to postpone my post and finish it later… I’ll just stick with my own opinion here and leave it at that.

  1. I like the emblems, but the number of them needed for 5s is disproportionate to the increase needed between 3s and 4*s

  2. I like the costumes for making S1 Heroes more viable, I don’t like them being locked into that costume for all events

  3. I’ll have to edit the rest of this post later, my girlfriend just showed up with food, lol.

Back. Not sure where the post I agreed with disappeared to but this seems to have gotten way off topic. I didn’t see anything in the poll about f2p vs c2p vs p2p. However, since that seems to be something that should have been polled I will say this, the integrity of the game is skewed and p2p players like myself don’t really see that if we are not willing to. Sure, f2p players can compete and get everything a p2p player can… but who is really going to play this game for 20 years to close the gap? Too big of a difference for the average player to overcome if they are F2P.

  1. I think the amount of resources received should be scaled to match a player’s level, ie. Keys, food, iron, emblems, etc.

  2. Advanced farms and mines leveled to lvl 10 should not take a player close to 1.5 years to recoup the resources they put into them.

  3. The only thing I do not love about this game and that will most likely be the reason I stop playing one day is that the game is driven by opinions from players, like myself, who have joined an optional forum and only represent a vast minority of the E&P player pool. Utilize the in game inbox for a bigger and better picture of what the majority’s thoughts and opinions are if you really want to collect meaningful results from your poll SG.

Nicely done poll @Nitrus! Now hopefully some of the SG staff take a look. (Especially at the Alchemy Lab)

Now there are heavily powered players and weak players, <----- this statement here

As long as some people want to spend and some dont this will always happen in early alliances and people feel torn between progressing In the game and hanging out with their friends and can only be resolved one of two ways either stay FTP, or encourage others to spend a little bit/ help them out if possible but otherwise a split is inevitable for the better of everyone.

I know that if I was solely FTP I would have quit long ago but sticking to a budget has gone me well and I am with like minded players of the same category. SG has no control of how a player spends and people need to stay around players in the subsets that they put themselves in for the health if the game.

My take pretty simple

Emblems- great addition, it was getting super jumbled in the c2p area as we were having some frustrations with matchmaking. this has easily helped to spread the playerbase and allowed and better range of brackets and much needed space between the purchasing classes

Costumes-great idea more ways to attain keys would be nice.

Alchemy lab- first complete thumbs down I have ever given SG

Challenge events- love the re-tiered loot and extra challenge.

Only gripe i have is no daily or weekly quest that would allow FTP to earn hero tokens challenge coins something, and we definitely need more things for an allaince to do together besides just titans and wars, most games allaince have benefits they can earn by completing some tasks. Not enough group content for sure.

Very impressed with the change in artwork and the future looks bright, awaiting path of valor with some enthusiasm

Some things i think should be tweaked to keep them more relevant but not everything can be, it’s impossible since why would anyone spend money to gain no advantage?

Better training camps, allowing the farming of atlantis coins outside of AR, costume keys more available to obtain are 3 things that come to mind

But i can’t think of anything else that would help em out without screwing things up

Emblems. The outcry about that is getting old. The purchasable deals don’t widen any gap that wasn’t already there. Paying players pay to compete with other paying players. It’s not like we’re paying to beat up on f2p. We’re simply competing with our peers.

And i still 100% believe that a f2p can keep up in this game if they truly want to. My teammate keeps up with us just fine. Sure the roster differences are wide and obvious, but still makin the cut on titans and in wars like the rest of us. If he can do it without spending, so can everyone else.

I think a number of the things around the S2 heroes may get implemented with the release of Season 3… SG will still need SOME way of training/ releasing Season 2 heroes… Whether that means releasing them to the relevant TC levels & the regular summon portals or something else I don’t know…

Why would they need to do that if people are still willing to pay to summon them?

Not sayin they Shouldn’t

Just wonderin why they Need to

They dont need to give anything else other tha some.events where these people can earn them just like they want. Nice difficult events

Just a reminder this thread is based on 2019 additions to the game and is intended for people to provide thoughts and feedback. I believe there is another thread discussing loot boxes.

I certainly didn’t come here with the intention of starting the topic

Interesting that @Rigs decides to like your post as if he had nothing to do with the thread derailing :joy::man_shrugging:

I always have somethin to do with the threads derailing lol that’s no secret, just glad someone is willing to volunteer their time to fix the chaos

Hmm come to think of it, i don’t think the new mods were included in the 2019 customer satisfaction additions

I’d give em a 10/10 for what it’s worth. Zeph, dave, kalf, garnawyn have been solid additions to the moderator group. Unfortunate Garanwyn had to step away but left quite an impact in the time he was here

Believe kerridoc and jonah were 2018 but if not then yup appreciate them too

Rigs is like the Jesse James for the New Millenium, always looking to take the train off it’s virtual tracks.

If i have to summarize all that in two votes they would be 10/10 for the intent (will to make a better product) and 2/10 for management.
Which give about the average score of 6/10.

The sad thing is that they could have without a problem score a 10/10 on everything if just listen a bit more.
Making things a little more friendly.

I’m always committed that a happy customer spend more.

It’s true that the intent of Hero Classes was obviously to prolong the game for longtime players – but at least it was done in an interesting way that added depth and possibility to customize your hero stats, to either strengthen their weaknesses or capitalize in their strengths.

There’s things I didn’t like about them, such as how few emblems are awarded vs how many are needed in the long run, but I personally still think Classes were among the nicer introduced features.

I’m such a Lewis Carol fanboy so I loved it :stuck_out_tongue: But really it’s just another event. I like the concept, like the artwork of most heroes.

In concept, raid tournaments are amazing. I really like the idea of having more places to use my heroes, of all rarities.

Sadly they blundered with execution. Poor testing of matchmaking led to some pretty disastrous initial failures, toying with the loot upon realizing how good rewards were in comparsion to everything else in the game led to a :poop:y taste in most.

But in concept, and in terms of participating in them, I still really like Raid tournaments. Again, I can now use that Gunnar I’ve had sitting on my bench for a whole year – he’s earned me many top 1% finishes thanks to holding A grade on defense, including placements in the top 100

Without content to use your heroes in – what is the point of new heroes?

This is why I liked Raid Tournaments and Class Quests a lot. Despite the initial blunders of Raid Tournaments (and most recently, the 1* / 2* drama) – they are making the game more interesting to play. No longer do I have to just raid the regular diamond team makeups I’m used to seeing every day. I can now get some variety to fill that hero chest, while giving me a chance to level up heroes I normally wouldn’t.

I’m indifferent here. Thorne was probably the best balance change the devs decided to make – though he’s still no Magni, he now actually has offensive presence. It made me happy to see him rise back up in Diamond teams, and made me regret ignoring him.

Still some heroes need a bit more work. Aside from Mok-Arr, Atomos, etc., It was odd that Obakan was the only counter-attack hero not to get his counter-attack buffed (while Cyprian, Boril and Elena all dealt more counter damage).

I just really hope that costumes don’t undermine future balance changes now.

Easily one of the best parts of 2019. How could I say no to extra loot?

Decreasing the duration by 1 day was disappointing but at the end of the day I still get to farm all the loot I need for challenge events and future quests. I’m quite happy with this, and I think if anything Season 1 needs a buff for loot (hopefully Valour Pass relics become more worth it for that in 2020).

This was probably one of the most mediocre features – it’s so grindy to upgrade the lodge and all advanced buildings take about as long of a time to continue upgrading.

The extra iron and food is helpful for more embleming and troop leveling, so that’s good. Hunters Lodge though? I only brought mine up to level 4 and stopped there – only because the later items aren’t really that required. The Panacea and the Titanium Shield felt like the best ones, for those triple bosses in class quests (both saved my :peach: for Santa’s Challenge too). Everything after that just feels like overkill, not to mention they’re very expensive to craft.

I don’t have the alchemy lab built and don’t plan on getting it built anytime soon to be perfectly honest. All the levels take a long time to finish for only a few slightly more rare materials/items. I just don’t think that it was released well, and it’s going to take a lot of alkashards for me to put them to good use.

I quite like Costumes myself, in concept. I think changing abilities and making certain stats better is great to make certain less desirable heroes more desirable (such as Skittleskull) or for changing completely the role a hero serves (Gunnar is a defensive hero, but with costume becomes an offensive support hero).

There’s certainly room for improvement, and we’ve yet to see where that road leads. I won’t get pessimistic with them as I think – unlike the Alchemy Lab – that costumes have potential to become an attractive feature for all players.

I’m overall pretty happy with all of the above (except Alchemy Lab) and personally I don’t find much to be that dissatisfied about – some things could use improvement, but nothing was really a complete disaster (except Alchemy Lab – that building can burn for all I care).
