Went with Onyx - Khonshu - Kageburado - cVictor - Aino in attack. Got a bad board and didn’t get my Purples charged until Hawthorn fired and put up his reflect. Managed to kill him, but a foolish move of blowing up a Blue diamond charged Hippo, Alucard, and Nyx. The results were really bloody with my heroes’ body parts flying all over the screen…
After that, abandoned using a healer and went back to my usual “Kill or be killed” raiding style by bringing in Shrubbear. Not too many double LB teams and easy wins when I get my 6 Purple tiles.
Defense started 2-2 which is nice for a 5* tournament.
I don’t think I’ve seen a bigger off-color ever, sadly didn’t take a screenshot. Took Grazul, Becky, C Marj, LoLo, Erebus. Board literally full of yellow and green, I couldn’t do any other color match but yellow and green… I wasn’t able to fire any of my heroes before C Alf fired, despite having 2 diff colors of very fast heroes. Neither Grazul to block C Alf or LoLo to copy C Alf… At the end I wasn’t far from winning, but I wasn’t able to kill Teti, because Milena kept healing and Teti targeted my 3 most hurt heroes… AI shown it’s intelligent side again. Despite horrible starting board I took 276 points.
I’d be fine if def didn’t go under C rank and every day was 4-1, I never had big expectations in 5* tourneys, I only hope for reasonable results , but so far so good.
Today i got a 0 score on the one I lost, it had LB2 Ludwig tank, with Franz and Diachian (spelling?) as flanks, I had no chance, and on their wing they had Misty who went off about 4 times.
4-1 again on Day 2 and was a good result considering the teams faced. Continued mainly with the same team of Onyx - Khonshu - Kageburado - cVictor - Shrubbear. The team only comes in at 4884TP, but it punches above its weight when you get boards like these.
The single loss was against a rather passive team with the middle three of Hathor - Oniwakamaru - Myoin-ni. Briefly considered switching to a Green stack with El Naddaha to block buffs. In the end, I’d rather take my chances on getting 6 Purple tiles to 9 Green ones. The gamble failed and the tank fired at 2nd charge. Did manage to kill him, but not before Shrubbear’s taunt expired and the wing cGuardian Panther and Hurricane finished my team off.
Defense has flip-flopped between B and C the whole day, hanging in at 5-5 presently.
Popping in to wish everyone the best of luck ! I am still (barely) alive after 2 days, but really not much to write home about I can’t wait for the next 3* tournament at the end of the month. Those are my favorite.
From what I’ve been reading the last few raid tournament threads, it seems I need to LB2 my Shrubbear ASAP.
Thanks for the info! Somehow I missed that. That’s the main reason I held off for so long - was worried about a nerf. 3 isn’t bad but I’ll see how it works in practice first
Depends on your team. 3 turns is still enough for my Hippo team to have to deal with it. That’s very often ready in 2 turns and having to go an extra turn brings in “massive cascade anxiety” just as much as 2 turns of it.
I have in fact lost in 3 turns with that hippo team due to that very scenario. Auto-Taunt should be a deterrent not an autowin.
And there goes a great tournament, 3 times in a row I can’t even charge my red very fast heroes… 3 times ultimate off color and 2 for 0 and once for 143… screw this BS.
Def got a close A at 6-4, but I am not wasting my time with this worthless nonsense anymore. I really LOVE 5* tourneys… I literally lost 1 raid in last 2 days, but yeah it gives me all the horrendous boards in the tourney… I got screwed over nicely today. Thanks.
